How about a VERY long recovery strap and another tractor hooked to the other end of it?
I don't know what is worse, the owner who told you to mow it or the folks on here who've never actually retrieved a piece of equipment from a precarious situation telling you how to get it unstuck. If you're depending upon some of this advice to get you out, you're in deep trouble.
Glad to hear it. We would prefer to not be left with a "cliffhanger"Hello All,
I wasn't going to post anymore about this, however it was brought to my attention that doing so might be inconsiderate.
A friend and I did get it out today. I'll post the pictures along with the rest of the story tomorrow.
Good job DT, Grumpy would be proud.:rotfl:
So if you had a piece of equipment stuck to where it was obvious that it couldn't get out under its own power, it was close to dark and you needed a friend with a bigger piece of equipment to pull you out, but the friend couldn't help till the next afternoon, you would keep trying (possibly breaking things) even though the friend would be out the next afternoon? But I have NEVER left a piece of equipment stuck anywhere I would stay with it until it was home or totaled beyond repair and that has never happened , I just can't wait to see the pictures of the 12 ft deep tractor swallowing sink hole . I'm happy for him that it all worked out and it's home safe and sound .
