My newly installed remotes also cause TnT tilt cylinder leak-down.
Next time I use the tractor, I'll try plugging the tilt cylinder into the 3rd (non-float) valve outlets and see what effect that has.
I know that I'll lose float (duh) in that cylinder, but for brush hogging, who cares?
If the leak-down persists after the outlet swap, I'll start work on a quick disconnect check chain for the tilt side.
This would allow me to level the deck, old school, with the turnbuckle lift link that I moved to the left side when I installed the tilt cylinder.

2 things, may I ask if you have the Kubota valves? If the switching of the valves does not work, for work that does not require constant adjustments, just un plug the hoses and the cylinder will stay in place. (should)

Brian,
The remotes are the Kubota valves.

With the boom pole on - it bottoms out overnight.
Hard to tell with the brush hog - I usually trim it on the asphalt driveway before going out in the field.
Seems to drop about 1 to 2" per hour while hogging.

I like the idea of just unplugging the remotes - I will give that a try, just to be thurrah.
Thanks for the idea!

PSDStu - sorry about the highjack.

Jim,

Post how unplugging the hoses works out while working. I am very curious.

Talked to my dealer today (about something else mostly) and he says yeah the Kubota Top and Tilts settle - just the way it is. He seemed to think it was the cylinders, but it does seem he's wrong on that.

I would say that 99 out of 100 times it is the valve. What gets me about the OEM valves is the wide variance of quality. It almost reminds me of the jerky 3pt hitch on the new std L model Kubotas. Some are good and some are not. :confused3: :(

Pic of tractor at dealer this morning. Scheduled for delivery Monday.

second pic (crummy pic, poor light and cellphone) is of 3rd function valve hoses. Dealer is going to try to fab an angle plate that bolts to the "block" where the hard hoses become soft (on left in pic), and over to plate on right that already has a couple holes in it.

That pic looks below the tractor towards the back. John has some better pics, but this one shows the holes in the right bracket.

Third pic a little closer.

So no changes to tractor that cannot be undone. I will report how it goes.

Fourth pic is new third function button. Seems an awkward place for a button, will need to figure out something better. Stu, John, is this where the dealer put your new 3rd function button?

Very nice machine, I think you are really going to love that box scraper.

I would have preferred black cylinders on the TNT not gray but no biggie of course.

Thanks, I am glad I ponied up for a little more tractor than I had originally aimed for.

And I think I'll love the hydra BB, too. Will be using the heck out of it for quite a while on the new property so it will earn it's keep.

The BB is an expensive booger, but it's pretty impressive in real life.

Just realized I hijacked the thread too much, sorry.

That box blade is awesome, makes me wish mine had the hydraulic scarifiers.

Bill,

That button is just for turning the third function hydraulics on or off. You also have a toggle switch on the inside of the loader lever for actuating the third function. That's how you'll operate an attachment like a Grapple. On mine it's left to open, right to close. A little time and it'll be instinctive.

Good looking machine!
