LOL you can still buy trucks from the 80's.

I actually have an 85/86 F350 stake truck with a diesel... BEAST of a truck. Manual trans is a monster.

The towing wars are far from over. Ford is introducing an improved 6.7 diesel for '15 that is supposed to be available starting next spring. Also bringing back the heavy F-450 pickup with commercial grade 19.5" wheels with a strengthened frame. I figure they will best or equal the Ram's 37,000# GCWR. I have a feeling that the 6.7 will be bumped up around 425 hp/875 torque.

when my wifes 2000 yukon finally gives out ( and that day doth approach ).. I'm going to try to find her a crewcab .. preferably early 2003 with a 7.3 in it. she tried the small econo-lunch-box car thing and someone tapped her rear and it totaled a brand new, months old car... so we went right back to her suv... but it's an oil hungry gm 5.3 it takes more oil per gas tank than my chainsaw does... since new.. and gm said that's normal. ;)

Someone in her family has a 03 7.3 cclb dually lariat that is kicking around the idea of new truck. I'll be on that 7.3 like a rat on a cheetoh!

I love my 2000 7.3, I have done some mods to the motor and trans.it pulls really well. I hope it can be the last truck I own for pulling the equipment to jobs. I will rebuild it when it comes time, right now it has 330,000 on it and it runs great.
