Ah. This explains it. I was wondering why I could see the Parliament Building last night while looking out my front window here in Bay Roberts,Newfoundland. Then I see this thread today :duh:

Nice job Ken. It's going to make a Hugh difference to your tractor.

Ahhh, that was you waving! Yup, It'll be nice to be able to see this winter, especially with kids around.

Nice job and good look for your cabbed DK! The 'CREE' is the chip that runs the lights. For day and night use on my dirt road I hung an LED low profile strobe, (at the rear center from my canopy), with various patterns built in, which shines bright as the sun. Made in Rhode Island, USA. I use it to warn crazy azz drivers who whip down our DIRT road like it was 4 lane blacktop, barely taking note of the tractor on the road. they usually pass at full speed whether I know they are there or not!?:confused2::shocked:
**** near made a left turn into my flip property but happened to look and saw a woman blasting past me with not even a glance in my direction! Would've knocked her into next week if I had made the turn.....not to mention damage to me and worst of all my Kioti machine.

Ya, I've been going back and forth over installing strobes. I do more road travel then I probably should so it would be a good idea for that, but it's all in the summer and during the day. I won't take the tractor on the road during the winter, the amount of salt used on our roads is insane. I may have to check if they have LED versions of my marker and tail lights as a start. I don't think my lighting projects are done just yet, I already have thoughts of a light bar in the back and re-purposing the rear lights as front/side lights beside my rear/side lights and building some strobes into it. Just need to find the time.

Here's a link to the company the next town over from my prior CT summer residence. This company stands behind the products they sell- owner/operator fire/rescue squad members.
http://www.strobesnmore.com/Strobes-N-More-EFlood-10800-Lumen-Flood-Lightbar.html

And speaking of switches - from simple low cost/high quality to top of the line professional police cruiser switch arrays:

Switches Whelen, Federal Signal, Able 2, Sho Me, Feniex, Axixtech -

They are selling the exact same lights that I bought. Here's their page for the lights I picked up. http://www.strobesnmore.com/Strobes-N-More-EFlood-1260-Lumen-Flood-Light.html Their prices seem pretty good, especially on that large LED light bar. Somebody is obviously making these lights and they're being picked up by small distributors.

Nice job on the lights. If I ever get a cab I will do the same thing.

I think I will try some for the house too.

When I am working in limbs I am not sure where they would be safe to mount in the tractors. :)

If they have a plug near the light maybe I could just remove them quickly.

Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to winter storms even more now!

Aaron, the seller I bought from doesn't seem to have any more 10 pks listed, only light bars, but there are tons of the exact same package listed. I'm not sure how it really works, it's all from the same factory, I'm not sure if it's a bunch of people reselling them or if it's one person with a bunch of accounts. Here's a listing of what's available:

LED CREE 18W | eBay

So did yours ship directly from China then? I have done that once before with a battery. It took a while to show up, but it got here...

Yup, straight from China, took about 10 days to get them. They came across the border with no issues, I was worried about being slapped with duty.
