The OP is getting a Fram filter that works for his tractor, but I bet Fram doesn't make Kubota filters.
Of all the services you have done that gave left your shop with a fram filter, how many came back with engine troubles? None is my guess?
The bought Champion labs, things are improving.
The AF likely uses them on asphalt or concrete surfaces most of the time so it may be quite different from using in a dusty field. Running 24/7 is also much better for an engine than running 10 minute intervals which may not burn out any water from the oil.USAF recommends changing the oil on tractors only every 400 hours, or 6 months. And their tractors are usually used 24/7 by at least 3 different guys or gals each day. So to change every 100 hours is excessive in my professional opinion.
Why would it have the same part number if not made by Fram? Each manufacturer has his own part numbers. The OP is getting a Fram filter that works for his tractor, but I bet Fram doesn't make Kubota filters.
You are correct. I do about 100 oil changes per year and better than 1/2 are with Fram filters. Not one single issue in 20 years.

I have taken many Fram filters off and when you shake them you can hear an feel the filter element rattle. That stamped steel spring probably flatted out and the filter is doing nothing. I have never had this problem with a Napa Gold/ Wix.
