An anonymous person paid off all the lay-aways yesterday at a local Maine department store location. That was something I bet for the people who it helped.

I had a dead battery on my Massey caused by a cat walking on the tractor and stepping on the Hazzard button. Not a problem anymore as the cats are gone.
I also found out where farmgirl is, she says the banner ads are eating up her data plan and until she gets it resolved she is limiting her time on TBN.

I just replaced a bettery in my RTV yesterday. I think it was 10, maybe 11 years old. Always outside. Darn fine lifetime for a battery.

No fun when you need them and they are dead.

18 here, up from about 10 this am. Going to a lodge meeting tonight, haven't been real active in the last few years, but one of the brothers can't drive anymore, likes to go, so I go pick him up and take him. Probably good for me to get out anyway, these winters get pretty dreary here in the mitten. All the goats and chicken's pretty much stayed in today, they don't care for the cold much. Be carefull out there.

It was like 60 degrees here this morning. I sure am glad we don't have all that snow. We might get it once every 2 to 3 years. That's enough for me.

PMA, sixty degrees? Sigh. Heavy wet snow here, and had to get it clear because tonight it's going down and staying below freezing for three or four days. And then we all get to play on black ice for awhile as the sun thaws things in the day.
Boy driving at night here in these conditions are tricky, you really don't know what that shiny stuff is in the beam of your headlights and sometimes it doesn't even announce itself. Things get way too exciting really quickly. Closest I've had to cracking up was on black ice and I did at least one 360 in the process, but knock on plastic, no scratches on a car since surviving my sixteenth year. And that one was a doozy...

So PMA, please go to the store tonight with your window rolled down, the cool night breezes coming in, and think kindly of us.

David, for Christmas, let Santa bring you a portable battery jumpstarter.
A high capacity one that will work on your lawn mower, your diesel tractor or your car.
Twice I have come back from vacations in the winter to find my car stone dead in a remote airport parking lot.
With the jumpstarter, no wait for charging, it will charge while you use it.
Ho ho ho.
