Yup. So they boost the fuel injection pressure up to 29,000 psi and use multi-injection piezo injectors to rate shape the fuel injection event. Still not good enough....put on Diesel Exhaust Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) & Particulate Trap. More & more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

We are at 30%! Regular gas is $2.99 and on road diesel is $3.89. I heard that diesel fuel will be dropping after the first of the year.
I'll believe it when I see it.

Check this table of state taxes on gasoline an diesel. Depending on what state you're in, the tax differential may be a big part of the price differential. Here in blue state CT, diesel taxes are over $.29 per gallon more than gas. They've been raising it by substantial amounts each July 1st for the past few years. Then they turn around and want to convince you CT is a great place to build a business; well not if you need to run diesel equipment of any significance. Being a small state, I imagine the long distance truckers just skip over CT when planning refueling stops.

Haven't visited the post I started in a while. I've been working 10+ hour days at the plant and worked this past Saturday also. We have been building 2 pilot trucks a day and must say the finished product looks beefy and bold for a small truck. Body fit and paint finish is exceptional for this early in the build process. We have a black Z-71 extended cab on display in the plant equipped with the V-6 gasser. Love the ride height. It really does give it a larger appearance. I still don't know a price point yet. I do know that it will be priced comparably w the Tacoma. I'm ready to see sellable units going down the line with all the different colors and options. Just giving everyone a quick update on the progress.

Thanks Topkicker. I like what we've seen and the observations that you've shared. I'm holding out for one with a heavy duty manual transmission. Not getting my hopes up though.
