If the OP needs 60HP at the PTO, then I think the JD4720 at 58+ is the only act in town (for now).

I love the sounds of that QPS transmission but I didn't think they offered it in a smaller sized tractor.

For the frame size here it is next to my 1/2 ton Ram 1500.

From what I've read the QPS won't be offered in the new 1700 series, which is replacing the 1600 series (tier IV). So far I have no complaints at all with it, great range control, 12 speeds, smooth transitions from forward to reverse and a lot of grunt when I've needed it.

It's actually 48.3hp at the PTO.

Depends if it is a cab or open station. The open station NX6010H has 43.1 PTO hp. The cab has NX6010CH Utility tractor, which really is not a compact, has 48.3hp.

The link was to the NX6010CH, with 48.3hp at the PTO, not the N6010H.

The dimensions, and weight, are essentially identical to that of the Kubota L6060 previously mentioned....less than 200lbs difference, same wheelbase, similar overall length (although Kubota gives their length w/o the 3pt, and similar width....so if it fits, so does the Kioti. There is usually overlap between the various groupings of SCUT, CUT, and Utility. The biggest of one type is often as big as the smallest of the next larger group.

Don't think the thread was about overlaps of hp on tractor categories. Man is thinking about a 4020 JD from my understanding.

He asked for other brands with HST and near that amount of HP. So I provided him a link of something close.

The OP mentioned the L6060, so clearly machines in that size/class fit what he's interested in, and he asked about similar machines from other manufacturers. The linked Kioti is virtually identical in size.

Come on man, stop trying to manufacture corrections and start debates...it does nothing to help the forum, or the OP. Maybe try contributing to a thread for a change, and throw out your recommendation to fit the OP's question?

Please do not taint my good name with this accusation - my point is comparing a utility tractor to a CUT is not the same thing. CUTs you pay a premium for their versatility.

GManBart, you will notice you never agree with anything I say because you are categorical in your thinking - anti JD and anti JD dealers.

My recommendation is a good used 4720.
