Okay, I have given this quandary some more think time. I am certain that the farmer applied for and received a government grant to study the effects of placing pallets in the shape of an inverted "V" in his farm fields. During the crop season, they just get in the way, so they are removed, but once the crops are harvested, they are put back on. It is a multi-year grant so they will most likely appear several years. Once the farmer has the data collected, he can propose a computer model for the effects of pallet placing and get additional funding or subsidies to further study it (and change the data to match his computer model).

If you all don't agree with me... well.., then you are deniers and racist.

Sir,

The "squirrelly" alarmists are anthropocentric extremists. They have used propaganda and scare tactics to convince the general populace that squirrels are somehow enemies to mankind.

1. There is no evidence of an extraterrestrial presence in the squirrel community.
2. The extremists are speciesists, referring to squirrels as "tree rats."
3. Squirrels have been slaughtered and consumed in the millions by carnivorous humans over the ages. Indeed, this squirrelicide continues to this day. Googling "squirrel recipes" returns 3,400,000 results. Are squirrels not sentient beings? This reign of terror must end.
4. Although we have adopted technology (e.g., sophisticated surveillance equipment, cell phones, laser swords, assault rifles, etc.), we have done so for peaceful purposes, including self-defense.

Sincerely,
Rocky, President of the Squirrel Defense League

They are an enemy to this mankind.......
I have spent over $1500 on these tree rat, wire chewing, *%#^!+@ GMC truck hating aliens.
Either they like eating my wire and getting "sparked" or GM has made the wire out of something they like.

Has to be extraterrestrial aliens!

It's said to be the soy based insulation they use on the wires...

Yes.... I see...... ahhhem......I forgot to mention that the alien squirrel...uhhhh... voted for Obama..... is gay, black and living on food stamps in government subsidized housing.
Now that's constructive....right?

Well, if you count "constructing" several generations of the same (minus some exceptions)...yup...

BTW...never visited the F/UPF

government subsidized housing.

I see... The pallets constitute government subsidized housing for squirrels. Paid for by federal tax dollars in a corrupt political payoff.

Those pallets kind of remind me of pyramids. I wonder if a razor blade would stay sharp longer under there.

Brilliant!!! Finally, a theory that can be tested.

I believe that we should come up with a protocol that can pass the editorial scrutiny of The Scientific American or similar scientific periodical.

I suggest the following for the purpose of discussion.

1. In order to rule out latitudinal, longitudinal, and altitude effects, we should seek to obtain as many test sites as possible. This would include sites in the Antipodes. We also need to account for seasonal effects.

2. We could adopt the FDA procedures for evaluating the efficacy of medical devices.

Who knows, if this works, I, er,....er, we can apply for a patent.

Steve

In addition to antipodal testing on earth, I propose we have the aliens test antipodal sites in the antiworld.
