I went to the bob cat dealer and they are interested to have me aboard. They want me back no later than Monday. They have an opening for a service technician. I have wrenches up to 2 inches in length which is what he said I needed. Otherwise I have more tools than what are needed. The job requires working on bob cat tractors, skid steers, and other equipment such as zero turn mowers and 2 stroke landscaping type tools. The highlights of the conversations between the two men was my ability keep up with 115 Toyota forklifts such on a dock between dead battery's and also changing starters, overheating and hydraulic repairs. They liked all my experience with Diesel engines.

We have a Ohio Cat dealer near me. I was a operator for Local 18. You can write your own future in the equipment business. When going to High school I attended a Union traing presentation, problem was nobody was working from the previous years class. Not for me, did the school thing , factory work ,and other jobs. Really liked running a crane. Enjoy the ride. You have a good set of skills to work with and things will work out for you. Fracking is where it is at in eastern Ohio. Take your time and remember you do not have to take the very first job. One year was way to long to hang around if you did not like the former job. Companies that are loyal to their workers are pretty rare today.

Unfortunately I had to sack many people over the course of about 30 years running my own business. Its a terrible thing to have to do but sometimes, for the good of the business, its unavoidable. A bad employee is a threat to the business and a threat to the job security of every other employee.

Theres only two reasons I ever sacked employees. Either they weren't good enough, or they became a PIA who rubbed everyone up the wrong way. Sometimes, in the latter case, I had to sack quite talented people, but for the sake of harmony they had to go. But of course you could rarely give them the real reason so you had to make up some BS about cost cutting or whatever.

Maybe when you get your next job you should put a little sign on your back door for while. Make it the last thing you see as you leave for work. "I got sacked from my last job because....."

Learn from your experience. You sound like a good man to have on the team. But its important that everyone including your fellow mechanics think the same thing.

Today I have made progress by calling mahindra, case, and the kubota dealers. The mahindra dealer in mooresville said they need my help. My experience is in diesel highway trucks, I have worked on excavators, maintained 110 propane Toyota forklifts on a dock, of course farm tractors, etc. things are looking up!

As long as you try, things will always look up no matter how they look to you at that moment.

Whatever you do, do it because you love it and give 110% and things will work out even if you can't see it at that moment in time.

My only suggestion is whatever you do, don't dwell on the past and don't become negative. Each day is a brand new day with a fresh start.
