I think the short answer is return it. You can certainly get a better price - if not a better box.

I paid right about $100 for mine on sale at HF. It is steel but VERY well built, in my opinion. They have 2 sizes, I got the larger one.

I assume you are using Firefox for your browser? I installed a handy dandy plugin called "invisible hand" that pops up price comparisons online. It's not 100%, but it works pretty well.

Mine is a Rubber Made. I got it at Walmart for $30. No issues.

I am using Chrome. I just installed invisble hand. Thanks for the tip.

I would prefer for it to be aluminum.

I have the smallest one they make on my 6x14 trailer. It is not the greatest but it is good enough to hold a cheap winch and some tie downs. I think it is lighter duty than their biggest one. I don't think the larger one is big enough for my winch and mount.

I got a return shipping label to send this box back. Now I have to figure out what to replace it with.

Why not just weld up a steel one the way you want it...I have a OEM steel box on mine, I like it so far.

i couldnt find one large enough or nice enough for mine, so i made my own. all 12g powdercoated steel. Hardest part was finding the locking latch....took some searching to find one. I carpeted the inside with commercial grade to cut noise.

Very nice...Lot's of space..Mine is somewhat limited due to the sloped design..I don't keep much beyond ratchet straps and a stinger in mine though. I keep the chains in the garage as I don't need them all that much.

Nice trailer. I thought about building a box and still may end up doing it. The main reason I did not build my own is the time. A latch is $20, a strut is $15, primer & paint $20, hinge $10 would be $55. Plus metal and some other miscellaneous parts. I could probably build one for half of what one costs:scratchchin:

What is a stinger?

I am going to keep the winch in mine. I am going to get a tool bag and keep my straps in it. My chains are the ones from lowes that come in their own bag. I'll put them and the binders in the box when I need them.
