I got a new saw today

I have been looking for months for a 70cc Stihl. There are very few locally forsale. Most of them are rough looking or way over priced or a 20'' bar. I found a MS 441 CM and emailed the guy a back and forth a couple of times then he quit replying. I found a 046 and sent the guy a text asked him a few questions and he answered them and a was supposed to send me pictures but that never happened. Maybe these people don't like when you ask them questions like does it have the OEM cylinder and can I take the muffler off and look in the cylinder. Maybe they have something to hide. I got tired of messing around looking for a used saw and went to the dealer and bought a new MS 441 CM. So far I have ran a little over a tank through it and I love it. It has good power. I can't believe how smooth this saw is, the AV is really good.

Nothing helps me decide faster to buy new, than dealing with a few internet jerks. I called a guy that had three scissor lifts for sale, talked to him three times, each time he seemed like he was stoned. Always said he'd call back - never did.

I don't know what is wrong with people. When I have something for sale I reply try to reply promptly.

A tip I got from a logging professional was to go to the fire department and ask for decommissioned fire hose. Makes good scabbards in whatever length you need.

It starts really good and throttle response is great. I love the sound of this saw at a idle. It screams in the cut.

The guy had a a old extendable scabbard except he did not have the extension on it. I asked him if had a extension for it and he went in the back to get it and the other guy ran and got this one off a saw on the shelf. I don't know if I like it. When he put it on I noticed it had a cut in it. I thought it may have been made that way. Then when I got it home I realized it was not made like that. After putting it on off a few times it has got more battle scars. The chain gnaws away at it every time you put it on. I am not sure how it is going to hold up. I don't think it is made out of the same plastic as the old ones or either it is thinner.

I had problems getting the old 2 peices scabbard on the 660. It never slides right on. It always wants to catch were the second piece starts. I have to squeeze down to bulge the side for it to work.

Thanks. This is my first flippy cap saw and I have only used them one time but I like them.

I usually don't cut them up like that but since I had it in the grapple I did.

Just wait chances are you eventually you will think it latched and you will end up loosing a tank of fuel or oil. I had my 361 running for about 3 or 4 minutes before the cap popped and drained my saw. Maybee the have improved the design on the newest saws

Yeah only the 660 and 880 still have real caps I'll take the screw on any day
