As I understand some things changed....the dash, brake, some under tractor bracing....from the research I did before I bought I understood that there is a pretty big difference between a 25 and a 25D.
There is no such thing as a BX25. They are all BX25Ds. There have been changes within the BX25D model, but they're all the same model number.
This is no different than looking at 8N Fords....they had at least two different engine variations with the front distributor, and one with a side distributor, and power went up 25% over time, but they're all the same model.
Go out to Kubota.com and look. They have two BX series listed, the 60 series and the 70 series. The 60 series includes BX25. The 70 series includes the BX25D. Seems to me Kubota considers the 25D a new model with the rest of the 70 series.
It's crazy that they didn't change the number with the new series as they have previously.
Regardless of what the website says, the machines themselves all say BX25D on the serial number plate, and owner's manual.
Was that a smart move by Kubota? Probably not. Does it make any difference to the OP? Probably not. The machine was advertised as a BX25D, the serial number plate says BX25D, and the owner's manual says BX25D....end of story.
It's unfortunate for the OP, but the way to prevent that sort of stuff is to really know what you're looking at before you buy....especially when it's used.
