Here is a simple solution for loading stabilizers I added to my 12k trailer. Had these on the trailer for about 8 years now and this works well for loading my 8000 lb backhoe
I used 2" box tubing with 1 1/2" that slides inside of it with pins to hold them in place.

all great points….learned a lot. I have a kubota grandL 3940. looking at buying a 16' with 2' ramp. I am wondering what kind of chains? how long? binders? how many? ratchets? etc. any thoughts?

If I did not have anything to secure a tractor I would probably buy 4 ratchet straps with the chain ends, 1 for each corner of the tractor. If you have a loader it if supposed to be tied down and anything on the 3PH needs to be tied down.

Here is and example of the strap like I was talking about. I am not sure if the chain on these is long enough to use to tie your tractor down.

You don't ever want to have a strap going over a sharp edge because it will wear through so the chain end makes things nice.

Great advice. I had already ordered 2 16' 5/16 chains and 4 ratchet binders. I also have a couple of heavy duty nylon ratchet straps. I should be good, but this site sure helped.
