Best attachment for clearing roads/trails after loggers mess

Well thanks to all the help on here, the help from Travis at EA and Brian with Fit Right Hydraulics the deed is done! :thumbsup::thumbsup:


Brian got me setup with my front hydraulics and controls and was a huge help with guidance on my present and future needs for getting this new to me tractor setup correctly.

Then Travis over at EA took his time to understand my task at hand and also future needs in choosing the right implements to get this job going. I went with the 72" Wicked Root Grapple and then he helped me understand the benefit of combining this with a 72" Severe Extreme Duty Landscape Rake so these are both on the order and running them together will be the cats meeeeoooowww! :cool2:

Now time to get to work..... :drink:

Larry, if all he is doing is going forward and picking up loose stuff, what are his limitations going to be :confused3: other than the grapple gets full very fast. It's not like he is digging in the ground with it, anyway that is not my understanding of the situation.

If you can create the right conditions, a burn may take care of a lot of the stuff. Sparky

That's what I was thinking. He needs a disc (for a firebreak) and a match.

I cleaned the ditch in front of my yard with a landscape rake. Very handy for piling up the branches and debris. That combo'd with the grapple for moving the piles will be great!

Things tend to be imbedded and sticking up. Its nothing like scraping a hard surface. As conditions vary its always better to have the option to take a small bite than be stuck with marginal or insufficient forcing capability. Also, narrow is more forgiving of off flat situations, and where a straight on approach is difficult.

Maybe it's a set of conditions that just has to be seen in person. I don't see any problems, or very few. Wouldn't know for sure without being there.
