Before I send it back I'll clean all the grease off of it, which will give me a chance to take a closer look at what's going on with it. Hopefully I'll find something stuck in the coupler and be able to clear it out. I was pleased with its performance the first couple of times I used it.
Salty
I had the same problem two days ago when I finally put mine to real use servicing the mowers for the new season. I extended the jaws by pushing the lever and rotated them as if screwing them into the barrel. I imagine they came loose from a seal, but didn't bother to investigate further.
It works perfectly again. In fact I did the 600 hr interval service on my DK35 today and am more enthused than ever it is a good buy--even at the Canadian price! It made greasing those awkward under-tractor fittings(brake linkages, front pivot, etc.) much easier.
It almost made greasing fun, but I'm sure that will wear off!
I plan to show the coupler to my dealer next time I'm in.
