BX25 - HST fan blade trashed

I am fortunate with my BX22. You can simply take the floor pan off and there is enough play in the length of the driveshaft to slide it off the transmission end after removing the bolts. Simple to change the fan and replace. two hours max, including cleaning your hands.

The BX22 is about the same vintage as the BX2230. I had to get my mower height control welded up. I found the pan difficult to get off because of the fel towers. I couldn't figure out a way to wiggle stuff around to get the pan off w/o removing one of the mounts. Thank goodness my fan is ok, but it scares me that I can't pull the pan w/o taking the towers off.

Thanks Wild Bill! I was thinking somewhere in the 160-200F would be safe for the hst. My Duramax with Allison trans run in the 160-200F temp zone and I have 230000 on the clock with no issues.
