You're sitting there with the internet at your fingertips and sellers on Craig's List must think readers never price compare ? Two minutes of search time and I find the 670 is an older engine that has been replaced by the GX690. Northern Tool price with year warranty is $1599. Tulsa Small Engine, $1540, free shipping, no sales tax.

Photo shows a kitchen sink cutout, including the four holes drilled in the corners for saw access. You'd have to trim it down 3-4 inches each way and finish the edges....in other words, it's a scrap piece you might get a few bucks for use as a small table top or something....but a island ???

Then there's the guy that regularly lists ( double lists, actually....one followed right by same posting ) of a "Garden Way" backpack sprayer. Wants $75, not a dime less. Off brand sprayer, probably never find parts for it, and you can buy a Solo for $85-90 brand new.

And he can't understand WHY it won't sell.....ahahahaaaaaa

I've never understood why people write "I am posting this for a friend." Just put your friend's number in the ad. It's not like these posts are personalized.

I have put the "posting for a friend in an ad before" - the reason was if I just put a phone number I also get a bunch of emails asking about it, then have to reply saying it is not mine and you need to call the number. Seemed to help but I must admit I still got a few emails anyway. A lot of people much rather email or text than talk to a human for whatever reason. Personally if I am really interested I really want to talk to you so I can find out the most information and get a "feel" for the seller.

Too bad. 99% my first response will be email. If call only, I usually don't. Figure they are wanting me to call to give hard sell.

In my experience, the older generation wants to talk over the phone. I'm one of the young guys, so I prefer text or email.

You get the same thing with Uncle Henry's though. Years ago (long before Al Gore invented the internet ) I advertised a 16 gauge DB shotgun...

I don't remember how many times one drunk guy kept calling about it, weeks after it was sold. One thing about the internet, you can delete an item when it's gone.

vacant. Also happens with some newer websites, unfortunately. I am a big fan/user of ecommerce, since
even before the web.
