12v Accessory Outlet .... How Best to Do on Tractor?

I also did a quick and dirty, direct to the battery set up...
Fuse holder, cigarette lighter type plug..
Pull the fuse, stow the plug away up under the hood when not needed...
I have only run a flashing light with mine so far... But may look into an adjustable, removable work light also..

Good luck

Mounted a fused cigarette lighter type plug on my Kubota. It is fused through a fuse block I installed but this particular circuit is always hot.

My Deere 2720 came with a 12 volt outlet under the seat. I cannot however plug in a standard auto plug and have it stay in the outlet. It looks as if it takes a "special" type of connector that twists and locks into the outlet. My Deere dealer is CLUELESS. I'd love to be able to use this outlet for my sprayer instead of running a line from my battery. Any help appreciated, New member as of this morning.

I just had to go look at mine. I didn't see anything special about it. I tried a couple plug in lights and found that one worked great and the other would blink if I jiggled the wire just a little but.

Have you tried to use any other plug-in to see how it works?

I used a separate fuse block for the circuit.

Another thought -- do you need a 15 amp circuit? If it is mostly for hauling trailers then what about changing the bulbs to LEDs?

the plug cover says Marinco 12 v Under the cover it says LOCK POINT Turn to UNLOCK. seems to suggest it is not a cig lighter kinda plugin. Never noticed marinco, i'll have to google that

You made me go look AGAIN. Now you have me interested enough to Google Marinco. They do offer a plug that locks into the receptacle. I am like your parts dealers, never heard of such a thing. There is a limited number of places near me to buy one, but Amazon has them for $10.

Several of you just did what I am intending to do- except my outlet will be used for winter storage trickle charging... should make it easy to plug in/ unplug the charger. My old tractor had a battery that was next to the seat and very accessible, but my new L3130's battery is hidden away, so a marine grade outlet is on order. May be overkill, but the battery in the old tractor was 13 years old and going strong when I sold it.
And, Thomas (AKA Kubota Tee) would you tell us where you got your new fuse block? That looks like a very useful addition!

This online outfit has almost everything you need to install an outlet or other 12v accessories. I've got two of the power plugs on my motorcycle and they are of good or better quality than some of the name brands I've looked at.

12vtechnology dot com

They are on Amazon too, but the shipping is cheaper if you go direct.

Wish I had known about 12technology.com when I was looking. Same one I got, but a buck cheaper, delivered. Oh well. They seem like quality gear.
