Husqvarna 322T AWD

Good news! I spoke with Agri-Fab customer service this morning and they confirmed the 2-stage snowblower for the R322T is still in production. This is a relief to me. I know I'll need a 2-stage unit to move the heavy snow we get in Indiana. She said that the blower itself is stock, and that it comes with a Husqvarna mounting kit.

The new model number is LST42D. They can be purchased through Husqvarna dealers as well as Dixie Sales and Lowes. Agri-Fab began retail sales just 5 weeks ago. This means we can buy direct from them, too. Cost is $1368.37, including shipping. Call 800-448-9282 to order.

DHD, I now understand your weight shift issue with the WH. I suspect that backing up a slope with the R322T and snowblower won't be a problem. At least I hope not, I have the same situation at the bottom of my drive where it connects with the county road. If the rear wheels lose traction power should shift to the front wheels. I'm wondering if I couldn't test it? I think I'll lift the rear wheels off the ground using my chain hoist and see what happens when I try moving the mower. :)

I just spoke to the same lady you spoke with at Agri-Fab, I gave her the Husqvarna PN 966 41 60-01 and she said it's a different blower than the LST42D.
The LST42D has a different mounting system and won't work on the R322T.
She said the 966 41 60-01 is no longer being manufactured for Husqvarna.

I just got an email from her, too. She said you called in, too. The Husq. website says the model that fits our mower is LST42C. I asked her to check on that unit and gave her the URL: Snow thrower - Rider accessories She replied that they haven't made this model in two years. What a bummer! I bought the 332T with the intent of putting a 2-stage blower on it. I guess I'm stuck with the Finnish unit.

Home Depot lists the LST42C but it doesn't look like it'll fit the R322T.

As does Lowes. If Agri-Fab hasn't made them in two years, it's a slim chance they'll still have them in stock. So, what's our option? Buy an LST42C and make an attachment unit? :(

Got the Kova up and running.
Not happy with having to settle for a single stage.
I'd rather would have had the Agri-Fab two stage, but it's no longer available.

Thanks for the video! I like how it integrates with the mower. No wonder Husqvarna switched vendors. How are the sound and vibration levels?

It's louder than the mower. Vibs don't seem to be to bad.

Here is the same Kova single stage blower on a Stiga

I understand some folks use a rotary broom for snow removal.
Not an option that I would choose, because of my gravel driveway, but for paved surfaces it might be useful.
I'm not sure how it would fare with large snow fall amounts.

I would use a rotary broom for light snowfalls, say under 1/2" Or, for brushing off ice crystals that sometimes form under the snow. The nearby university uses these to keep the sidewalks clear. One of the reasons I like a snow blower is that the snow doesn't pile up along the edges of the drive like it does with a plow or broom. This last winter my 10' drive was just 6-7' wide for about three weeks. My goal is to put just one attachment on the 322T and have it do all the snow removal all winter.

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum. I found it by doing a search for the Husqvarna 322T... I'm really interested in getting one. I think it would suit my needs better than a tractor or zero turn.

Pls keep up the reviews and new info on it. I'd like to know if there are any new problems/insights with the mower since you've bought one. Also would like to know if they are strongly supporting it here in the states or if sales are dictating that it gets faded out... I think it's been out since 2012?

I saw the UK 524 version and like that even more. Wish they would import that one. The design is so much better looking... More rugged.
