Have to make a decision very soon between a Rhino TS12 and Land Pride RC2512. Both are targeted for my tractor which is a Kubota GL5740. I have done a lot of searches but haven't seen anyone do an actual comparison and rate one over the other. From comparing the specs, I like the shorter wheel base and lower tongue weight of the Rhino but the Land Pride's blade speeds are 2,000 fpm faster which has me leaning to the RC2512. If anyone has input or another thread that addresses the comparison, please give me your thoughts. Thanks guys.

Woods all the way. Deeper deck allowing more material to be processed, lower blades to chop more material, stronger gear boxes, heavier decks etc.

Great, another choice! :) Actually, my dealer only offered me the Rhino and Land Pride so will probably go with one of those.

ditto other folks comments...

independent hydraulic rear gauge wheels settings. and how the rear gauge wheels are setup.
are things pure hyd to rear remotes, or electrical over hydrualic, were you only hook up 2 hyd hoses and a electrical plug, with a joystick inside to deal with all the settings?
stump jumpers? type of blades that are used?
what options do you have on guards? (chain, metal straps?)
how easy is it to adjust slip clutches?
easy to access grease zerks?

just start clicking through the pages. i realized most of the rotatory cutters are used. but the goal is to get an idea of what is out there and what has been tried. and what you might like better vs another style of setup.

Once you get on here you're going to get everyone's favorite. Go w/ what you want. I think both of them are good cutters but am partial to Land Pride.

I was looking at all these 12' mowers and it looks like Landpride has the highest blade speed at 16,500 FPM.

How important is the blade speed?

Would a person notice the difference between 13,500 FPM and 16,500 FPM and what would the diffence be?

what are you cutting, I believe you will short on hp for 12 feet of bushhog

If you are asking me I want to use one to clip horse pastures and maybe even our lawn.

I'd buy a flex finish mower if they would cut say 7" high for pasture clipping.

The Woods 12' bushhog (BW12 Batwing® Cutters) has a minum horse power requirement of 35 PTO HP.
Product Details

If someone made a 3 deck/head winged bushhog that was 10' that would be even better.
