You need to dig a new pond and have numerous choices;

1. A shovel and a wheel barrow.

2. A 20HP tractor with FEL and 48" bucket.

3. A D-6 bull dozer.

All will do the job but the D-6 will get you a better and faster result. If you have LOTS of time go for #1 or #2. If less time and more money go for #3.

Spending 6x the time to complete a weld is ok if you have the time but, most don't have the luxury of all that extra time and elect to spend some money for the correct tool for the job. Free country and your choice.

My 2cents worth.

Fire at will.

I do confess that this machine is interesting and might well be on my gotta have punch list in the future due to the price of right at $1,000 for that much multiprocess

YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lL78wTeI8nA

That might be worth checking out.... interesting. I imagine they probably had to go to completely off-shore manufacturing to get that price though. At that point I would probably be checking out everlast.

On second thought, that is actually LESS than msrp for what appears to be the everlast equivalent.

FarmDad $1,000 is a lot of money for a 120v machine, or is it 120/240?

It's both. It appears to be competition for the multimatic.

By the time you buy the torches with it, no probably not. But we do have special pricing going on the MTS 200.

If all I had was one 12-2 wire to my shop I would hook it to a 240v breaker, thus converting it to 240v to run a small 240v welder. For 120v loads I would buy a 240 to 120v transformer on fleabay. You can buy them for a small fraction of what they cost at an electrical supply house. So you can double the power to your shop for very little money and use a more capable welder.

Ugh what??

12-2 won't work...12-3 yes in theory but way too small to run even the most anemic welder!

No need for a transformer; 1/2of 220V is 110V which is what you get when using one side of the 220V feed.

Run 220V and you automatically can get 110V with no issues.
