Very nice.

Congratulations.

Try not to explode before the weekend arrives.

Be very careful using the Wallenstein chipper. It will want to pull branches and any loose clothing into the maw at first, while the knives are factory sharp.

Congratulations!
I'm hoping the rain we're getting here, this morning, misses you so you can spend some time in the saddle after delivery.

Very nice and the bush hog looks like a well built, heavy duty model. I am sure you will find plenty of work to do with your tractor, things you never even thought of will pop into your head while doing other chores. That happens to me all the time, I go out to do one thing and several other things occur to me that need action. Even after 5 years of ownership, still things pop up needing attention.
Good luck with your beautiful property and don't cut too many of those trees, although it looks like you could use a bit of a fire lane around your house if forest fires are a danger in your area.

Of course, with the tractor on the way it is raining steadily....

I had a forester in to see the place and sent him the forest management plan the previous owners did before he visited. He is a local guy I picked because he practices good husbandry: the last time it was logged (1980's) they used a rapist.....

We are taking out scrub trees near the house and power lines, but leaving some good-sized, healthy oaks and maples in the "back yard." There is an old potato field I'm going to mow, and will make a few trails through the woods but other than that it's pretty much being left alone.

I held off on pallet forks. The dealer offered Land Pride 48" forks # PFL3048, which are 48" forks on a 48" frame and weigh 358 lbs. (
PFL Series Pallet Forks | Land Pride)

I am not sure what length to get (36, 42, or 48") and it seems to me that I'm using up a lot of lift capacity with that weight. Their PFL2042 model weighs 230 lbs with 42" forks (1" thick instead of 1.25") and is still rated for more than I can lift. (PFL Series Pallet Forks | Land Pride) But the dealer did not have them in stock.

Suggestions?

The weekend will find me in Boston, shuttling kids and getting our boat out of the water!

I measured the length of the tractor with the brush cutter and it was around 21'. That is the good news as I have 23' in the garage. The bad news is the ROPS is 92" high and we have the standard 7' garage door so I will have to tilt it to get it in the garage.

What an amazing tool! Many years ago this was a potato field. About 35 years ago it was logged by a local who took out the marketable trees and left a mess, so there are stumps, small logs and firewood-sized pieces scattered throughout: he probably used it as a yard. Not many rocks. A brook runs past on the right.

I spent about four hours in it, this is after roughly two hours, working to clear the bank.

That's not a bush hog...it's a magic wand! Looks great!

Looks like you are scalping it down to dirt. If when you mow it is mowing right down to dirt, the mower is set to low. You want to leave a little bit of growth there 1-2" so you don't have any erosion. Tractor looks great.
