I asked the moderator to remove it. Any animal I kill is killed as quick as possible. I don't believe any animals or humans suffering needlessly.

I hope you get your foot in one some day and suffer many hours accordingly, you deserve it. You should kill animals humanely and quickly.

Most of the TBN folks live in rural or suburban-rural interface zones with enough land to make a difference. If people like us do not make an effort to preserve nature, nobody else will. We will either find ways to accommodate biodiversity and preserve quality habitat, or pass on to our children what will look more and more like a zoo.
Avoiding that outcome will take reasoned and informed approaches to everything you do on your land. It's complicated with invasive and out-of-balance species everywhere you look, including the mirror.

I know Tom cares deeply about animal cruelty, as we all should, but leg hold traps are used by wildlife biologists to capture & release live animals for research studies. Dead is dead whether run down by a vehicle, poisoned, starved through habitat loss, shot, etc. When I see pics of dead or soon to be dead wildlife, it is a reminder that we have a duty to do our best by nature. I'm usually a bit saddened because I don't think we are doing our best the majority of the time.

Well said.

I think I may have mentioned it before, but we have an E350 van for our family. It is the 12 passenger model as when we bought it the 15 passenger wouldn't fit in the garage. The front end has always been what I will call a little "loose". The tires seem as though it takes very little to get them out of balance. As such, the front end vibrates a lot, even with frequent rotations.

I saw a freightliner extended passenger van earlier this week and am in love. I have since learned the Freightliner and Benz are the same vans. My mom and dad don't like the Ford and think it is unsafe, my dad used to work for a company that built trucks for Fedex and UPS and he really likes the Benz and Freightliner. Problem is, they are crazy expensive. I don't like to buy new ever if possible, but finding used ones is difficult. A new base model extended passenger van is $46k, most of them in stock at dealerships are $55k+. But used with 100k miles are still $30k+. Numbers say that even a van with 300k miles on it holds residuals at 26%, which is crazy so this is obviously a van that we could drive for a long time.

Anyone have any experience with these, or suggestions as to where to find them used. All the usual locations for me, craigslist, ebay, autotrader, cars.com, find the pickings very slim. Thanks

Several of the contractors working here have them... most have the high roof with the dual rear tires.

They like them... with the exception if the local service departments.

Apparently, the newer ones are better than the older ones... just what I'm hearing... guess some of the bugs got worked out.

Thanks. Are you talking about the old ones that Benz made for dodge, or the newer benz's are better. It is amazing how much the used ones are holding their value. They are still expensive. If I get one I will get the longer body which I think only comes with the high top. Thanks.

The Dodge Sprinter is a similar van to the Benz and Freightliner. I don't know if they are related in any way, or anything else about them really.

I wonder where the used airport shuttle vans get sold?

Only hearing that the emission equipment was taking a toll on the old 5 cylinder version and that is why North America now has the 6 cylinder...

Also tow ratings increased with the new 6...
