B2650 Exhaust residue on FEL hydraulic lines

I notice I'm getting quite a bit of exhaust residue on the left side FEL hydraulic lines on my B 2650. I have about 50 hours on the tractor. The exhaust pipe is about 13 inches to the lines in a direct shot. I can't imagine this is good from a design perspective. The lines will definitely dry out faster. Any ideas on what I can do to minimize the exhaust and heat on the lines?

I wouldn't worry about it. See it a lot with all kinds of different brands

Don't have that problem anymore with the BX2200

I have seen where some folks get pipe bent to 45 deg that is a bit larger than the exhaust pipe. Not too long or it can cause clearance problems. A couple of cuts in the new piece allow a clamp to snug down the pipe. I think about doing that every time I change from blade to blower....maybe next year.

I have the residue on my B3030. It's cheap camouflage.

My B3200 does it too. It's on my list of things to do. I'm thinking one of chrome tailpipe tips that have a little curve in the end. Do they still make those?

I have that as well. I've simply thought of just bending a small piece of sheet metal and clamping it to the pipe with a hose clamp.

I'm not sure if it will work in your situation but I have taken a 3" cut off wheel and trimmed the end of the exhaust pipe at an angle to deflect the exhaust in a different direction.

Here is what I did to correct the problem on my B3030. I went to a plumbing supply distributor and bought a copper fitting, can't remember the exact size but you won't find it at Home Depot or Lowes. I heated it up to expand it using pliers to hold it then slipped it over the Kubota pipe. When it cooled it fit super tight. I thought I might have to tack weld it but never had too. Been on for several years now and corrected the problem. I think the piece was about $10.00 +/-. I trimmed a little of the Kubota pipe so I could get the correct angle for the new copper piece. The pipe has turned quite dark so there was no need to repaint the exhaust. Hope this helps.

I done this on mine and apparently the extra weight of that copper fitting caused vibration and the exhaust pipe broke off just past the last muffler bracket, not sure if it is heating up a wire loom on the frame there. Will be keeping an eye on the thing, might be harmless the way it is.
