11 with Sun coming out with a high of 18 today. It looks to be a good game to today between Green-bay and Detroit.

I was reading a stat on Detroit/GB. Detroit has not won in Lambeau Field since 1991. Incredible streak of futility.

Would love to see the Lions win but they have to play a lot better then they have the last few weeks.

Truth. This may be the best chance for a while. They are going to be destroyed by free agency at the end of this season.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. After reading them I remembered that a neighbor has a two seater unrestricted side access trail vehicle. I'll try that next to see if he is able to slide over. The golf cart has a bar on the side of the seat - which is where most of the problems are coming from.

Could you remove the bar? Also build some type of high up bar that he can grab ahold of to help himself up? Kind of like an overhead bar on a hospital bed?

Don, you could even make a new seat using new foam what would contour to him so that he would have a body fitting depression to help him stay in place.

34 here, nice and sunny. Doesn't feel that cold, not much wind. Had a nice family get together with my wife's family. Today, just going to be lazy, going to get a fancy coffee in a bit, go to Lowes for a wire wheel for my grinder. I have a couple of grinders, I am going to leave one set up with a wire wheel.

Have a good one!

txdon, not much to a golf cart seat. Some plywood foam and vinyl you could make something that will make getting on cart easier.
Good Morning All.

Kyle, I can't really change the existing seat but building a new one might work. An overhead bar is needed but all I have is plastic and fiberglass on the top part supported by thin aluminum nothing that could support the weight of a person pulling. It would be nice if the golf carts came with ROPS to work with.

Also, It's a bit more complicated. I guess ideally I need to focus on keeping him in his motorized wheel chair. In the last couple of years he has broken his leg twice being transferred. The last thing we want to do is break more bones. I may have to make the trails wider and smoother and made it more like a hayride with a larger trailer with ramps for 5-6 riders. He might feel like he fits in more than being pulled behind by himself. Still a lot more thinking on this.

Good Morning! Today I pay for my procrastination. No cut dry firewood, 35˚ raining all day, wife is suggesting that it sure would be nice to have a fire today. Fail on my part - but the trail through the woods looks good.

Good afternoon all. 34F this morning in Lake Kiowa TX. Forecast is for 47F and sunny winds from the north and a booming 6 mph. Girls are going shopping in Sherman so I should get a ride in today :cool2:. I think today's work plans (demolish a rotten retaining wall) have been put off till tomorrow. We may either go home or play golf Tuesday, I have not been informed yet. :D

Good Afternoon. 1220, mostly cloudy, 77F with 78% humidity. Forecast high is 76F for this afternoon with 0% chance of rain, and a low of 62F tonight. I walked over to Mamma's earlier in shorts and an undershirt {tank-top to you youngsters} and wasn't the least bit cool. But then she did call and ask me to come over when I was right in the middle of my cardio.

I should know better than to try to keep up with Margie's schedule. She did go to Dothan today, but with her buddy, not Sister and Cousin Dee. That trip is planned for Thursday. She may have a point when she says I don't listen to her.

I've got a big pot of 13 bean soup on the back burner for supper. And since Margie is not here to tell me no, I'm thinking about trying a healthy quiche I've had in the back of my mind for the last week. I'm thinking if you traded the Mayo out with Greek yogurt it would kick up the protein numbers and cut the calories. Also more eggs and less milk. Plus I'm going to skip the pie shell. I was running the numbers on the quiche we cooked the other night, and the pie shell was the biggest amount of calories of any one ingredient. I've got ham and leftover veggies from the veggie pizza {broccoli, bell pepper, carrot and onion} to add too. It may turn out to be a souped up omelette before I'm through with it.

Had a good visit with the family. Came home with a selection of chocolate goodies made by Lake Champlain Chocolates in Burlington, VT, a delicious homemade lemon meringue pie, and a book: 1491 New Revelations Of The Americas Before Columbus, "a portrait of human life in the Americas before the arrival of Columbus." Sounds interesting.

I love this kind of book too. One of the things that stand out about the Columbus story is that he had a map, and when he got close to the West Indies, he stopped sailing at night.

I don't have the option of any the good NFL games you guys mentioned, but I'm watching Chargers at Chiefs. So far it hasn't been too bad. I still can't make myself watch the Buc's.

Hope everyone has a good day,

Larro

We have one of those copper wash pots next to the stove and keep it full of wood for the next day. All the crumbs stay in the can and the wood is baked dry to ensure a good fire the next day. As long as I fill it, I have dry wood.

You're riding in this weather? You're a hard man, MG. If it's below 60, I won't get on the bike.

37F and overcast @ 14:45 ... had about a third of an inch of rain so far today but it's not raining now.

Had a relatively productive day yesterday. Got the corks for the drain holes in the ballast block removed finally and got it moved into the polebarn. Then cleaned off the big chunks of mud off the MMM. Took the ash bucket here at the house and emptied it into the compost pile and did a little clean up out back.

Managed to find a wick for my old Corona kerosene heater for the garage at ACE hardware ... grabbed that and a little battery operated pump ... then I hit Speedway for 5 gallons of K-1 (still pricey) and diesel for the Kubota ... filled up the van while I was there ($3.16/gallon)

Got the second pallet fork needle scaled and coated with phosphoric acid last night. Welded in a piece of pipe for the mount for the suction strainer on the hydraulic reservoir for the log splitter and gave the reservoir another coat of phosphoric acid.

Did a little clean up and putting away of stuff in the shop as well.

Looks like there is finally some cold weather on the way in the upcoming days ... with highs in the 20's ... not terribly excited about that.

Hope everyone had a good day.

Replaced one lock at my sister's place. One room has a lock on it, no original keys, the keys from the real estate folks are useless. I called the real estate lady, to see if she could get ahold of the previous owner to get a original key. Really too much time on a petty problem.

Have a good one!
