I cant quite make out what tractor and winch you have, looks like a B series Kubota, and Farmi brand winch.
I see you have your logging chains hooked to the notches on your winch, don't take this the wrong way, but I never hook my chains in those notches on the winch plate like Fransgard says to, I always leave the chain hooked to the keyhole slider, that way when I come to a hard place, I drop the load go a head with the tractor then winch the trees back up. I heard of some people hooking the chains to those notches and they break their logging chains.

A remote on the winch is a fantastic time saver, there are kits with a small hydraulic cylinder, a electro valve and a remote witch can be adapted to most of the small logging winches.

Xring, what do the lift hydraulics and mechanics look like on that TPH splitter of yours. I want to do that to my splitter.

Thank you. I see on their site some kits.

Looking there just now I see they do a power out option on their HPro models. That would be so very useful, provided the speed could be far higher than the power in speed.

Regarding the price of the Moz 300 mobile skyline, every site I have visited does not list a price. I suspect it is not cheap. Also, the capacity looks to be about 3t but I am still a bit unsure exactly what that means, whether that's a system rating taking into account the worst case scenario or if it is a payload amount or? If it is payload, it's very low and would make it much harder to justify the price because there are quite a few woodlots with greater than 3t saw logs here that would have to be harvested to pay for it.

There are all so universal kits, if you can get a useful remote so are the rest very easy, single acting small cylinder with spring return, a valve and a pressure and flow control so you can control speed and force on the cylinder. You must also have a free return on the tractor so you are sure the system can get rid of the pressure.
