I'm not sure. They sell larger tractors and other farm equipment. I don't know if they make their own larger tractors or equipment... maybe they do, and they just don't want to invest in building CUT's, so they buy them instead. ????

McCormick compacts are made by Daedong, McCormick's parent company, Argo sPa makes the larger tractors. The larger ones are based on a platform purchased from Case Corporation as part of the divesture of the MX Maxxum line when CNH was formed.

Correction, they WERE made by Daedong. They are NOW made by Kukje.

I looked and they kinda do have ties back to McCormick Deering.

So unless Cabela's is authorizing other outfits to service their stuff - you are stuck bringing it to them.

Driving from the Cities to Brainerd, you could hit Cabelas off of 101 in Rogers (or Leno Equipment for Kubota and Bobcat, Elite Lift for Kioti, X-Mark for Mahindra on Highway 10).

If you checkout their website, it shows the new "X1" series is on the "X10" page. The "X10.xx" models were the Daedongs. The X1's are now the Kukjes.

I'm not familiar with the Branson SCUT's, but McCormick is selling the X1.35 (Branson 3520R) and X1.45 (Branson 4520R). And interestingly, those models are, to my knowledge, only available in Shuttle Shift. So that means that McCormick will no longer be offering a HST CUT from at least 35+ HP. That is a BIG slide back from the Daedong models!

TSO, thanks! That is interesting. Kukje manufactures a good tractor. My big concern would be if McCormick is willing to stock enough parts and really be "all-in" on this deal. That has been the weakness of Branson in the USA, parts fulfillment has been spotty. It's a huge investment to have a warehouse full of every needed part, but a company looking at the long term will do just that.

That means I have to drag it back down to the metro to get it fixed, then drag it back up. Where as if I bought a Wood's branded unit I could bring it 25 miles down to Pierz rather than 100 to the cities.

I'm not staying in the cities much longer. 2 yrs would be ideal, 5 yrs tops. I bought my tractor to start clearing land for my new house.
