Greetings 4shorts, have you had occasion to trailer your BX25 with both the front bucket ..and.. grapple? If so, how do you transport both? Perhaps lift one into your truck bed? Thanks, John

Haven't needed to take the two of them but If I did I could put one of them in the truck. :dance1:

Ive had no issues with a 10' dump trailer and the BX. The truck is only a 1/2 ton so I didn't want to go with a larger trailer.

4Shorts, I,ve seen your BX in that trailer on one of your videos....which I watch regularly. I've been meaning to drop by one day to say hello. Anyway thanks for all the info you share, I've learned a lot about my BX from your channel. Also, I installed a set of ATV tracks on my quad a few days ago and also picked up a few tips from your video on that as well. By the way, the customer you installed those tracks for is a very good friend of mine, in fact we were both for a ride a few days ago.

Anyway back on topic. In your picture, what to you rest the FEL on when travelling.....anything or just locked in place with hydraulic pressure. I am a little concerned about the FEL damaging the tarp kit with it stored like that. What are your thoughts, I would say its ok if you are using it like that. I was thinking maybe getting some sort of resting cradle made up that is welded to the from A arm of the trailer and lowering the FEL in it. Do you think this would be necessary.

Cool. Glad your enjoying our videos and that you get something out of them. I wasn't sure who you were but when I seen your user name I wanted to help out. In the photo there's nothing only hydraulics keeping the FEL up but I plan on making a mod in the next few weeks that I think you'll really like to solve that issue and ease your concerns.
Jim is a great guy. Been working for him for years.
Good luck.

Yeah love that small dump trailer! If I could find something like that it would get decent usage. Any ideas on brands?

I've been looking at the ones made by a company in Hamilton, Ontario called Miska Trailer Factory. The one I may get is the 5 tonne front mount model
with the landscaper's pkg. I really like their EZ load ramp door system and their prices are pretty good also. I just need to find a feasible method to get it home from Ontario.....there lies the problem.

I pull my BX with a 10' SA. Its heavily built (by myself) with 3500lb axles and 4" channel. And in practice its too light to do any serious long distance hauling. Its basically maxed out in the weight department. Id be more comfortable with dual axles and 7000lb.

Length wise, its ok, the BX will fit, barely, but there is no room for moving to adjust cog. 14' would be better. And with a 14' there would be enough room to load the tractor with the loader and a bush hog installed.

Ok great, I assume you will be doing a video of it.....hope so anyway. Ya he told me he has been bring stuff to you for a long time. We've been riding quads together for about 15 years.....and we have broke a lot of stuff over that time as well. Should be an interesting winter if we get the snow.

Around here, having the backhoe hanging out of the trailer is a recipe for a State Police stop..Even the bucket sitting on top is pushing it around here. People have been pulled over for far less.

I like having my equipment fully contained within the trailer ergo my 16' tandem. I've put my BX and my RTV on a 14' tandem and wasn't happy with the fit at all.'

That picture of the single axle was beyond belief..I hope that was a "See I Can" but hopefully didn't actually pull.

I have an HD 5x10 and my BX would only ever go on there naked but it never has..My guess is it will never see it. Tractor is too expensive to play those kinds of games and other peoples lives are even more valuable.

Now I want a 10' dump trailer.:cool2: No, I'll keep my 16' dual axle but would trade in the 12' dual axle for one of THESE 10' dual axle dump trailers but still wouldn't try to use it for transporting my BX25 unless I had to.:D.
