Boy I like that Kaufman 12ft dumper! North Carolina is a long ways from me. If that were sitting in a lot close by and $1500 cheaper I would hooking it up to my F150 now.Quick research. I'd pay the extra $300 to get a 12' vs 10'. But to rich for my blood and needs.

I agree it is only $200-300 more to get a 12' over 10.' I would also go with a 10k gross instead of a 7k beacuse it is only a few hundred more. Most people never regret getting a longer trailer.
Bullet, as I mentioned earlier, its the extra cost ($180CDN yearly license)) and hassel with yearly inspections associated with the trailers over 5K tonne that is pushing me toward the smaller trailer. Sure I would love the 12 or 14'er but just cant justify it.
Heck, I put my BX 25 on a 5 x 10 trailer, and I upgraded the axle to 3500 pound axle, with electric brakes. The front end loader stuck out over the the front and was held down just behind the front jack, while the backhoe stuck out over the back. Only used it in emergencies, maybe two or three times. Then I got a great deal on a 7000 pound flat deck trailer with a beavertail and lovely ramps. It was an 18 footer, so now I have lots of room for everything. And, with brakes on both axles, it is a lot safer, too.
Even so, if I really had to, I could always take the front end loader off and the backhoe off and put the tractor in the old 5 x 10 if, for example, I wanted to take it in for some service on the main part of the tractor. The tractor itself only weighs about 1500 pounds, so the 5 X 10 would be more than adequate.
I have GOT to stop using that voice recognition software on my iPhone, or edit my posts better. (Edited post above.) Meanwhile, here is a scary photo.View attachment 406698 (That's not me standing next to it.)
