Oil & Fuel BX25 stalling out

May want to invest in some skid plates. Watch the HST fan blades if brush can stretch wires to breakage at that height.

I am glad you found the fix. I would not have guessed a poor ground issue, although its not uncommon on any equipment regardless of color. At least I knew it couldn't be filters.

Hello, I found this thread and it appears that my kubota BX25 is doing the same thing. It will start and sound normal and then all of a sudden start to stall out and then stall out. Is there a list of things I should check in an order I should check. My tractor was bought in 2011 and only has 150 hours on it. It is kept outside for the most part. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

Go over all the ideas above, it could be any one of them, nothing was covered i can think of. I have that once in awhile and it is always the first fuel filter. I swear a pint of black enamel was spilled in the fuel tank at the factory. I get that black gunk also.

Anyone have some new ideas please?

I've been struggling with a similar issue for 2 years.

Have changed both filters 4 times. Pumped all fuel out of the tank from the outlet through a filter 2 times. Installed a 100 dollar Racor filter. It stalled the very next time.

I have a 2 acre lot with a belly finish mower. I mow the front with never a problem. When I go to the back it will first drop RPM, then start running rough, then will stall. If I stop the mower deck, it may not totally die but if I try to move the mower it will again run poorly and die unless I stop moving. The back is very thick and hard to mow. The front is not. Also the back has inclines front not. I am starting to wonder about overheating. The fuel gauge doesn't work and I wonder if the temp is also giving me false readings. It stay in the middle when working. But last time I turn off the motor and on a few times and the temp needle edge up a little further each time.

Please give me a new idea!!!

ATV Tours, I agree with GaryBake. GET SOME UNDER ARMOR ! ! If you hung the wires on the underside of your tractor with brush and such you really need to check the HST fan and make sure all the blades are still on it. I've got a BX22 and the HST fan is easy to change but on your tractor its a major ordeal.
