Deb just uploaded a you -tube video of me plowing snow this morning with my articulating 4x4 lawn tractor. This video shows much better the tractor peeling the harder snow and pushing it. The blade does angle back and forth with a second hydraulic cylinder. This is my second attempt at filming with the camera stuck in the snowbanks. The little tractor pushes a full blade of heavy snow without spinning the 8 tires.

Over the years I have owned 27 tractors. Most of them I have built a front snow blade for and about ten of them I built rear blades for. But in the workshop I also dabbled making blades for some of my toy tractors. Besides blades I made a couple backhoes, a couple snowblowers and a few front end loaders .
At that time the toy companies were not making detailed attachments like that for toys.

I have never had nice big workshop but I have always got by with what I have. My back shed had this workshop that was 7 feet by 12 feet and I built a lot of things in it. Subtract the benches and tools and
I only had 4 feet by 8 feet of floor space :laughing:

Dress up in a red suit with a white beard and you could be Santa in his toy shop. Very impressive work.

ha,ha, I used to feel that way around Christmas time as I really was busy building toys for kids , mostly grown up kids, ha,ha.
I see in the shop today I still have a few tires to use up this year . So I will build two or three more small trailers to hook to my 15 little tractors. I think if I bundle a free trailer with each tractor sale that should boost sales,:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

We got 4 or 5 inches of new snow this morning , Deb just took this picture of me checking the depth with my push scoop. Even with 15 little tractors , a mini loader and a nice truck and plow I still love to shovel my driveway . I bought two of these push scoops many years ago and nobody else around had them. Now everyone around has them. It is such a nice way to move snow without lifting. I used to even push upward and build a gradual ramp in the yard and dump the snow off the ramp . It is great exercise and so peaceful. I have already wore 1/4 inch off the new cutting edge I just replaced last month . I'm counting the days for things to warm up and get back in the workshop .

I use to buy vw's for 25, 50 or 75 dollars. I made a hand operated bender to make some tubing frames and welded them to the vw parts. I even plowed snow with a couple of them . The carbs would ice up but they actually did a great job in the snow. I could not ever sit still , I was always puttering .

4 below zero this morning again but my Waldon mini loader fired up outside. I cleaned all the snow in the front yard and hauled it out back . Our average temp for Feb. has been TWO DEGREES !! We have had so many below zero days and high only 5 to 10 degrees. I can't wait for a 35 degree day to get back in the shop.
