I really wanted to replicate Rayclar's setup but that will have to be next year. If anyone sees any obvious problems with my setup please holler. Thanks for all the tips given. Yes I may end up shortening the plow. Will see how it does the first few times out.

Looks good, Maineiak....what type of valve is that on the plow?
Is that what they call a crossover valve, will the plow trip with that?

Sorry skyhook, I am just seeing this now. That is a crossover valve and does release pressure when I hit something real stiff. I have it set at it's default setting which I believe is 2000 PSI and will go to 3000. I got it on Ebay just search for "Prince Hydraulic Pressure Dual Crossover Relief Valve DRV-2HH 3000psi 3/4" NPT "

I wanted to post a video. To bad all I have is this petty little 4" storm but I have been plowing 12-23 inch storms this year. It plows like a dream at least for now. It's been so cold that all the snow has been light and fluffy. Probably the wet storms I will have to plow every 6 inches but time will tell. I am so glad I stayed with the 9 foot plow. With the chains it works really well. Without the chains I could not plow up my driveway if there was more than 8 inches of snow on the ground.

Beautiful setup. I have a 7.5' Meyers, I'm thinking of putting some extensions on to gain some width.

My WAG base machine 4000,+cab 300+ loader 600+plow 300+ counterweight in barrel 600 =5800

That's just about it but my barrel has 800 lbs and the tires are filled. I did weld a bar through the barrel in case I want to add some barbell weights to either side. But I believe what I have is perfect with this plow. I have been plowing through 5+ feet of snow 100' out in horse fields without issues. I have to do the normal lift up and over about half way out but I would still have to do that with the bucket as well. The plow is just much wider and quicker. I am still waiting for some wet snow though to get a true picture of what it will do. But in now way have I been abusing the tractor at all.

It will work fine.
I've been running a 9' snow plow on my DK 35 for several years now. No problem..

Your tractor does better than my 10k tractor with rear chains and a 7' bucket. I had a hard time the other day plowing thru 12-18" of untouched snow since december

Snow that hasnt been touched for 2 months isnt the easiest thing to plow. Sunlight hitting it and a few warm days turn it into hard icy snow that is loke concrete

We have about 24" of snow up in the maple bush this year, all very fine corn snow. No crust at any depth so I have been opening up our trails for sap by plowing and snow bucket. I can drive the tractor thru it instead of packing it down with skidoo or ATV with tracks. On level ground I have no problem pushing a 7' blade thru it with my 4300 and chains on all four....
