Yes, rescue is the way to go for dogs. Some need some work but patience is all it takes and then you have a great dog. The cross breeds are often much healthier too.

She's a looker. My family also has a yellow lab about the same age. Man is she fast. She puts our older dog through the wringer at times but keeps them both fit. Labs are really friendly to everyone, sweet to have around but not a guard dog. Our older dog covers that duty.

I already had the worst dog in the west & now he has a pardner in crime. What he does not think of, she does. New crimes committed daily. :laughing:
If I didn't love them, nobody else would have them.

Never have the camera when the dogs are really being cute. But did get some fun pictures of them hunting chipmunks. & Some of them just standing or laying around.
Under the RR tiles & poles live 2 chipmunks & 1 cotton tail. Today was chipmunk day. That it in the fuzzy picture with the red circle on it.

She is more than at home. Now its her world. I'm Just here to pet & give treats.

Some pictures of dogs at he gate. Gate is to keep theft down. spices, silver ware. meat thermometer & most anything, including a hammer.
