You have a sub plate that looks like it is a D03 size. Their mounting plate is pretty clever for getting it in there. Your entire system is sitting where I mounted a hydraulic "wiring loom" to guard the hydraulic lines and prevent them from getting into the HST pedal linkage.

My 3rd function requires three custom made plates, and four custom-length hoses just to plumb to the quick disconnects (not to mention the electrical harness that uses weatherpac electrical connectors) and is an order of magnitude higher in cost as a result.

Well, it is bolted down for sure. I guess what I am asking if the explanation and fix seem to make sense??

Makes sense IF the valve is restricting flow and the oil is getting hot causing the hesitation.

While I was waiting to hear from you guys on if this new valve fix makes sense, I pieced together a quick video of the John Deere 4720. I even mentioned Island Tractor :) :) Enjoy!

Yeah I got a alert from you tube and was just getting ready to watch it. :)

I think my roundup tank may have helped keep me afloat :)

k0ua, NXs do use a charge relief valve like the DXs.

Jim, a D03 subplate is big enough. I run all of my hydraulics through a D03 just fine, and you've seen my videos of how fast I can whip around.

Here is how the two pump halves distribute hydraulics. One side drives the HST and power steering, the other side runs the loader, 3rd function, and three point. Tank is common to both sides.

And here is the HST troubleshooting page.

Sweet.

Hydrostat slow response, and steering "wonky" too.. Measure charge pump pressure. maybe obstruction in the path. or the steering section of the main pump. Modulator valve, or the filter .. something. But the first thing I would do is measure for that 356 lbs of pressure.

Odd that this happens after the oil thins out after use..
