Thank you. Is there a secret handshake to know in order to get Lowes to order one of these? What did you do, who did you talk to in order to get this? I can't find anything on Lowe's website for the Raven.

A lady friend of mine bought one some months ago, it had a number of electrical problems and in the end, she returned it...

I looked at them at Family Farm a week or so ago, they look good, but you never know about china quality!

Haha, not at all, no secret handshakes. I searched for it online (lowes.com) and just ordered it from there. Here's the link.

Thanks very much. I'm on the verge of ordering. I hope Lowes will offer parts and repair on these. Do you know anything about obtaining service on these from Lowes?

I don't know about that but I guess I should find out sooner or later. So far most of the reviews I've seen on youtube and on the internet seems pretty positive. A lot of problems with the 1st gen, then many fixes for the 2nd gen (710), and now the 7100 series seem pretty darn good and reliable. Looking forward to finally (and properly) mowing my overgrown 2 acres of grass, no longer with the small electric mower I brought up with me from California.

I took time to read the reviews on Lowe's site. One of the new owners said Lowes will be offering parts and service. You must have a long extension cord for your electric mower.

Ordered mine from Lowes today. $3799.00 shipped to my door. I'll wait on the mulching kit to see if I need it. Pretty excited about this as I've been looking at these machines ever since they came out. Glad I waited, and glad I did not buy one last month from other dealers who were asking much more and with exorbitant shipping costs. Thanks to you FreakaFunkZ, I learned you could get this from Lowes, and saved almost 1K. Also, neither of the other dealers offered the red and black model which is what I really wanted.

How did you pull that off? Looking forward to sharing our experiences with the Raven in the near future. I just noticed that you're in Southern Oregon whereas I'm near Portand on the topside. I'm really enjoying Oregon, and I'm really appreciating all the water we have up here as compared to Cali...

I was surprised to see Lowes is not charging me for home delivery. Perhaps it is because I'm only about 6 miles from the store.

Glad you made it out of Cali. Twenty six years was all I could take of the place. Welcome to Oregon! I've been here since 1976 and have never regretted the move.
