Kubota F series

Thanks for the input jcummins. I'm located in North Central Ohio. Right along the lake betweeen Toledo and Cleveland. Nearest city that pings Craigslist is Sandusky.

I did a search today on Craigslist and it turned up empty for F's.

I'm glad to hear the turfs are working for various people at the same angle(s). With the Chevron's on my Grasshopper, I feel unstoppable. However, I haven't attempted the dam as I know that machine just isn't made for that angle. Plus, I haven't looked to see if I'd run into oil starving issues with the engine.

Florida, yehaw!

I'm curious when the new ones are actually going for (Barlow's). If anyone knows or has an idea, PM me. I"m just looking for a 60" deck and I think that's all I need?

Wow. I haven't figured out the numbering system yet. What year(s) would a F2690 be?

What are the newer models I should look for? Or ones to avoid?

Chevron tires, haven't decided whether I want to crack for them or not. The turfs do terrible...in mud...not to terrible on the slopes. If I was somehow convince they would improve the perceived grip...on the slopes... I'd put them on the F in a heartbeat. For the most part I can avoid the really muddy areas.
I would not go with chevron ("R1) tires if you will be running sideways on slopes. I would install something like the Carlsile All Trail 2: Amazon.com: Carlisle All Trail II ATV Tire - 22X9.50-10: Automotive

You wont lose sidehill traction like you would with R1 tires, you will get more traction than turfs give even in mud and you might even get a little more traction in mud than with R1 tires.

I was told by a Kubota dealer that the beads on those tires are not as strong as the Chevron. I like you would prefer that atv tire, but the Kubota advice kind of in your face.

John - How is my dealer 'way confused'? The only thing that he stated was he believes the operator seat height would be fairly close between the two. Not having seen an F in person, I cannot compare. The height of the seat on the F vs the B3200 is not close to the same. Looks like your dealer also hasn't seen an F.
I did read the other threads on the F Series, at least 6 pages back, and I watched the videos that you posted. I'm just surprised the turf tires don't spin, since you have potentially went grass that you're driving onto (since you just cut it with the deck out front). My F spins a lot on wet grass when I make a really shrp turn without slowing down but slow down and moderate turn and mow when it's dry and thereis very little spinning. My B3200 with the R4's couldn't do this small section of hill because the ground was to wet over the weekened, but it was also trying to drag my Woods mower behind it. I should have put the mower up and tried going up but didn't feel like rutting up the yard more.

Could you remind me what "RFM" is? Rear Finish Mower vs Bush Hog/ Rotary Mower.

Now my task is where to look for gently used units as Barlow's hasn't returned my inquiry and buying new from my local dealerships doesn't seem like it's in the budget.

Just keep calling and ask for Steve to get a delivered price.
The new series started about this year is the 90s. The previous series was the 80s which goes back to at least 2008 which is what my traded in to Barlows is, an F2680e (2wd)
