Backhoe Strong?

Do you feel the 4 point sub frame being bolted on gives any more support to the tractor, bell housing area, Etc ?
Absolutely, the subframe ties unit several points including the loader mount.

Who has what's considered a 4pt. subframe, Woods or Kioti?
By looking at a breakdown of the Kioti subframe parts, I see only a front and mid bracket that stays connected to the tractor.

I do, but it is a Kubota.

I don't see the Kioti backhoe subframe tying into the loader framework at any point.

Kubota says their subframe ties into the rear angles, the ROPS structure, and the loader frame.

Woods definitely has a 4pt subframe. The Kioti subframe is very substantial and attaches to both the front and rear of the tractor at "4 points" but I don't know if that type of subframe is traditionally referred to as a 4pt.

Having owned both Woods and Kioti, I don't think there is a big difference in strength of subframe strategy.

I just so happen to be building a 4 point subframe for my backhoe now. I'm doing a thread on it here:

I decided to not exactly copy my friends Bradco 480 4 point mount ... I'm basically using a ladder frame that stays bolted to the tractor (it will distribute the weight/forces between the PTO housing, ROPS/transaxle area and all the way up to the FEL cross member that runs under the tractor between the heavy FEL mount.

It starts to get good with pictures here:

The '4 point' is the 4 'U' shaped cradles the 4 'pins' (2 on the left, 2 on the right in a vertical arrangement) of the backhoe sit in. Once in place, two pins are inserted on either side to prevent the backhoe from lifting out of the cradle. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about:

Here are a few better pictures of the 'donor' mount I'm using for reference in my build:

The 4 point style are easier to hook up because you don't have to stick your head under the tractor to try to line the long ladder frame up to fit in the FEL cross member slot.

You just backup to close like you do when connecting/disconnecting FEL. You mess with the controls until you set the 4 pins in their cradle ... can all be done standing at the rear of the tractor.
