Yes, my 'cover' = 'front'. The removable half of the block.

Your arrangement with ports lined up makes more sense than mine that has right angles in the fluid path.

I thought about a groove in the cover and O-rings, but if there were a groove then the o-ring wouldn't contact anything as it goes across the groove. Therefor a leaky cover.

I agree with everyone's thinking. Since half the block is welded in there must surely be different top halves for additions. I just sort of had in my mind there might be a removable plug in there somewhere much like my old 2002d had.

I agree - must take two blocks. Now...to hijack the post and complicate matters. Here are a couple pics from the parts manual for my 2210 and an actual picture. Similar block. Do you all think that this block is the same thing, just in a different spot? #40 in the parts picture. It bolts on very near to the place the hydro fluid hook to the 3 PT.

No, I don't think your block works like the separate 240 block. I don't think yours can be used for additions. Just an opinion, not fact.

Stirring in some more complication

Here's a pic of the divider block on the YM186D that doesn't have a loader. I think there was a loader originally. The hose is a simple U from the block's Out to In, apparently installed to maintain a series configuration in place of a loader control.

The block is bolted right to the 3-point lift assembly.

If the machine once had a loader, I think this would be the simplest/cheapest way to 'fix' it when the loader was removed.

If I ever get to pluming my front pump and using the extra loader-mounted reservoir I have, this loop-back is what I'll do to keep the 3PT lift working. @California, converting this loop-back setup into rear remotes is what I was envisioning earlier in this thread. What you've got there seems safest.

Boy i sure respect Winston's knowledge and experience, but after seeing California's 186 it sure makes me wonder that the plate isn't there by chance. Likely very wishful thinking on my part. Wouldn't it be nice if i could drill and tap a couple holes in that plate and have a supply and return right there!:confused3:


Maybe I'll take that plate off and fire up the tractor and see what happens

Do you have a photo from the left, looking into the face of the plate? Maybe you've got the mystery blank face that simply passes fluid through. Do you have a loader on this machine? When I removed mine yesterday I lost a bit of hydraulic fluid but not much. If it's easy to get to I say take it off and see what's inside. Do you have the 3/8" rigid lines leading into/out of like California and I do? I can't really tell from this photo.

Todd8665, does your 2010bd have any plugs out by the stop valve handle like these on my 2002d. Notice the loop hose. I later took that off, installed a headless plug inside and plugged the openings. Those openings are for additional hydraulics such as a loader.

What is on the outside of your block? Plugs? Anything?

I don't believe i have anything like you have pictured here. There is a plug for a single action cylinder on the far drivers side of the 3 Pt works. You (Winston) commented on a post from a guy in Poland (i think it was) that wanted to add a remote from this - you drilled and tapped yours, if i recall correctly, to use with a cement mixer... Always wanted to ask you where you put/returned the fluid back from this setup. I assumed to the hole in the side of your transmission case?

I'll try and take some more pictures tonight, get the full view. I do have a loader which is supplied via a splice in the high pressure line from the pump. I do know that it is blank on its face - but by the parts diagram shows it is holding two o-rings in place over two holes. I'll have to think about taking it off. With my luck when i take anything apart that isn't broke the house will burn down, the wife will leave me, the dog will die, and my tractor will be broken. I might shoot a post to Aaron and get his two cents.
