When we got married we bought a Hi Standard (not Hi Point) 9 shot .22 short barrel revolver. It has a .22 long rifle and .22 magnum cylinder. No safety. Double action. The wife and I practiced with it quite a bit. I figured it was about as simple as you can get. Nothing to think about, no safety to remember, etc... and I felt comfortable with her having that if I had to be away.

I've had a couple of single action .22s over the years with interchangeable cylinders; but never seen one with double action. That must be a nice gun. (A .22 is my preferred gun for plinking, and I carry one all fall for shooting grouse while I'm working.)

I also didn't realise that they were still in business , but their base is down there in Texas.

I don't see any revolvers on their website though.

Its not the same company. They went out of business a long time ago and their assets were purchased.
Here's a history....

And check out the photo of the Navy Waves target practicing.... watch out for the one on the left!!!

Here's a photo of mine. I have a long barrel model as well, but it can't take the magnums.

For the hogs I'd have went for the 40 cal. Carbine. A Little higher velocity.

I've accumulated a few hipoints over the years. I've never had one FTF or FTE.
pretty accurate too. The carbines are fun to shoot. Lifetime guarantee & made in Ohio.

I have been tempted by them, they do seem to be the value gun of the moment. We already have 6 pistols between the two of us, I haven't found a need yet. I just got a sweet little XD Tactical in .40 S&W with the 5" barrel. It should carry a little more velocity and accuracy than the Ultrastar 9mm and be more practical than my Judge.

They don't have fingers.... but that was nice of you anyway....

What comes out the barrel is for them:D

Gary I was going to get a AR but didn't won't to spend the money and if they run off and die just means I don't have to fool with them. Even if doesn't kill them maybe they will get the point to go somewhere else
