40' x 60' x 16' ceilings. Five rows of four t8 32 watt 6 lamp fixtures. Each row is switched individually, each fixture has two ballasts which are split, So 10 switches total. image.jpeg

Is that 3.84 Kw-hr to run these?

Thats what the math tells us. 20 fixtures each with 6 32w bulbs. 120 bulbs @ 32w = 3840watts

I have 10 of those fixtures in a 40x40, with another 6 fixtures with 4-bulbs along the workbenches and over the loft.

I have 20 lights similar those also, but my shed is a bit bigger. My electrician installed them so I don't know if they have 1 or 2 ballasts. It gives me an average of 65 lumens at the floor. Mine were wired up to run on 220V and have only 2 switches. It sure is nice to have enough light to work in comfortably.

At full power (both ballast) the light level is generaly 100-120 foot candles, the corners are around 80-85.
Most of the time I run at 1/2 power.

That is correct, at my electric rates that's about 60 cents an hour at full power. Most of the time I run at half power though. Good lighting makes for easy working.

I hear you about the lighting. I can't see anything without it. (no pun intended).

I have a couple of sayings; "too much is just enough" and " you can choose to not use something you have but you can't choose to use something you don't have".
Everytime I go somewhere with my wife she say's " should I bring a jacket?" I reply with the second saying above.:)

Nice building Todd727. Can I ask who the manufacturer was? Are you happy with it/would you do anything different?
