Massey GC1700 DL95 loader has a Quick Attach

Greetings,

Some weeks ago I promised to update other Massey scut followers like myself on new products developed for use on our GC units.

Several products are now available for use with the DL95 and with the DL100 loaders. The vendor has been producing specifically sub compact implements for Kubota BX and Yanmar SC and Kioti and early Massey GC products with the DL 100 loaders. MyTractorTools.com

But I worked on them about the potential the GC1700s have with AGCO's expansion and so the DL95 loaders now join the list with:

1. A Tach-N-Go Quick Attach ability for the DL95 front end loader.

This means the family of products made by MyTractorTools.Com is now also usable on our DL95 loaders.

2. There's fel mounted forks . . also something I got.

3. A newly designed Loader Buddy Bucket

4. A new Loader Buddy Rock Bucket

5. And 3 versions of Grapples including a Mini Grapple (whicj is on my Christmas wish list).

I have their first Tach-N-Go for the DL95 on my GC1715. I now also have a set of forks and late this year I'll hopefully add thst Mini Grapple to use with tree and log clearing and rock work I have in abundance.

The Tach-N-Go allows me to quickly remove my DL 95 bucket and switch to my forks in less than 1 minute with no tools or pounding or lifting involved - all good things when 160 pound buckets are involved. It also adds a front end 2 inch receiver for me to move trailers from the front or operate an addon winch as well. (All part of my plan)

Because the DL 95 loader is a considerable redesign for Massey . . MyTractorTools.Com was able to re- engineer their product to take advantage of Massey's new loader design benefits. In my search for this type of product . . I believe this is the first and only quick attach available for the DL95. The unit is durability engineered but also durably finished being sand blasted, then primed and finally powder coated. (while most other implements and equipment are only powder coated and ready to shoe nivks too soon lol).

Next week I hope to have pictures of the unit on my tractor after the newly updated caps are availsble. Quality of build is 1st rate from design use to strength per pound to laser cutting and smooth welding and finishing paint appearances.

So how do I know so much about it ? My tractor was the prototype unit for its design

Product development at the vendor's seems to be developing quite rapidly at this time . . . and is far ahead of web development at the vendor. So my pictures coming may actually be the latest product versions until web updates are completed late this year.

Will there be any announcements regarding extended hydraulics?

I'm chomping at the bit to have rear remotes installed on my GC 1715.

Its interesting that I needed a quick attach . . and it appeared.

I needed forks that could be used in a 3pt. situation and could also be used in a fel situation . . . and a unit that performs both showed up

Now if I'm going to desire a mini grapple . . . I can wish for that real hard . . but it would be like wishing for the forks and not having a way to attach them. So I guess if I want a mini grapple . . I'm going to have to wish for a 3rd function or rear remotes to be able to use it.

But thats the rub. I'd checked on several 3rd function kits . . all 1200 or 1300 dollars including installation but that's for a single 3rd function. And a 3rd function is normally just on or off . . No sensitivity to it.

So maybe rear remotes. I checked on those too . . . 1800.00 for 2 remotes with labor but not including hydraulic lines/quiick connects/taxes. As the Norwegians say "Uff Da thats a bunch". But actual remotes is more than 3rd function switches . . Remotes actually work with power beyond and sensitivity.

It looks like it would be nice to have a dual valve rear remote so I could have 1 upfront and one for the rear with sensitivity and not just switching . . . but at a price I could afford below the quotes I've gotten so far so I could actually afford to attach some implements to the remotes

Gonna take alot of wishibg for that to happen. Here's hoping something shows up before the end of the year so I can do some log and tree work before winter sets in

Acccccckkkkkkk! I was hoping you may have found a way to remedy this situation, but not yet.

I have a way of getting what little I need to get done until I can figure out something else - such as plumbing in another control valve between the input/output lines located under the seat pan.

My handy-dandy way for the time being will just be routing two lines from the dump circuit of the loader to the rear of the tractor. This will control the hydraulic cylinder for my sickle bar mower.

Of course, this is NOT the way I prefer to do this, but it will get me the function in the meantime I need.

I have peeked at the hard lines under the seat pan, and yes it is a tough one to get to. However, that's the only way I've found so far to splice into the current system.

Once things calm down for the winter, maybe I can get someone to help me and we can diagram something else up. I do have a three way spool valve with levers from a John Deere 430 tractor that I rebuilt with new seals. I have a way of testing it to make sure it works before putting it on the GC1715 for testing.

Where there is a will, there is a way. I will not let a bunch of nuts and bolts beat me. :laughing:

Axleub: Another thought too: You and I both have the GC1715 I think, right? What about the GC1710/1720's?

They must have remotes to get the backhoe to work. I wonder what the hardware is needed there for the additional remotes?

That setup may give us some clues as to how to access what we need to make the remote ports available.

What do you think about that?

Anyone else know about this? All ideas are welcome!

Windcatcher, my "wishing" is currently limited to the gc1705 and gc1715 because "good piping" is already a challenge to be dealt with. The Massey GC1700 series has some advantages and disadvantages to it for remotes because of tank placement and existing control lever linkage movements. It would have been nice if the fuel cap was on the other side along with the drink cup . . and if the available fender slot would have been just a bit different.

At the same time its good the brake is where its at. And existing valve and fel base are good locations. My wishing is about 2 remotes . . not one so the challenges are a bit more but the rewards are better too.

I love the GC1700 seating setup and access to the various controls . . . so positioning of additional controls and piping is near the top of the wish variables.

I'd guess the connections for the gc1710 and gc1720 is a question of different hose connectors for the waste/power beyond in and out . . But no different for the hydraulic lines to implements. Except I'd have to see the swiveling seat for clarity.

Is the valve the same system, closed center or open center, as the Massey?

Great question! Especially since John Deere used the same numbering series for large farm tractors and their garden class tractors in certain cases.

In my case, the valve I have is an open center. It has three spools, but I also have another that has two spools. The two spool valve I have not rebuilt yet, whereas the three spool has new seals, etc.

I still need to pre-test the 430 garden tractor spool valve, but just haven't had enough time yet. Too many things going on and too little of me to get them done. :ashamed:

Do you have any pictures of the Tach N Go for the DL95 FEL?

I am getting a snow blade built with angulation that will use the OEM pin locations on the bucket. Would the Tach N Go work with the snow blade then in theory? I should have it finished in a week or two. It would nice to be able to get the Tach N Go use OEM bucket, Forks, and Snow Blade and change them out in less than 2 min.

I have looked into this tach n go. Mytractor tools is aweseome website and so is the owner, but he wants 850 bucks Just for the quick release adapter! I assume if i need to take my bucket off and put another attachment on it will take me 30 minutes at my rookie status and when i get better probably 15 minutes.

Not sure about you guys but but i don't see myself taking implements on and off more then once or twice a day.

Not saying anything bad about mytractortools at all.

I just think its crazy expensive.

Maybe we can get a group buy like other websites forums domand get it substantially cheaper.

Like 400-500 bucks would be worth it to me.

Oftrn pricing on products is relative to their value.

Already, I've used my quick attach more often per week than I thought I would. Becsuse it is so fast. Ive cut grass a couple times now where I leave the fel on and just tske the bucket off. I switch between my forks and bucket rather often because it is fast to do . . . if it was pin based on and off . . I probably wouldn't. And I was using the trailer hitch on the quick attach this weekend as an extra benefit for several purposes.

But we all decide for different reasons

If you put your grapple on a dolly it makes it much quicker and easier to swap it with the bucket. If you don't have concrete, use larger castors.

My pin on 4' box blade.

The 3 point box blade is also on a dolly. :thumbsup:

One thing I don't like about the DL95 loader is the exposed hydraulic lines on the loader cross bar. Thaere is a short back protective cover in the middle of the cross bar, but it looks like they moved it 90 degree toward the back. I assume this was done for clearance to the tach-n-go?

I've always thought that it would be a good idea to weld/bolt a piece of angle on the cross bar to give better protection to the hydraulic lines...but that may not be possible if you desired a tach-n-go..?

This later Spring of 2016 I plan to add a mini grapple to my GC1715 implement arsenal

At that time I'll also be adding a front remote capability with quick connects. At that time I'll know much better what the final box will look like that houses those quick connects as well as the other junctions for the loader. Then I'll start designing a final version protective shielding for that cross tube that will include all the variables

Did you ever consider adding this? "The Thumb" to the bucket? It's a bolt on grapple that goes on the bucket. I was thinking off adding one of these in the spring to my bucket mostly for brush pickup and some logs. Goes on and off as needed. Not very heavy so won't affect the lift capacity as much. Would work well with a diverter valve or full 3rd function as it does not need much flow. Again not a complete grapple but a viable option for people that would use it intermittently.
