Tractor Sizing How Much Can A Sub Compact Tractor lift?

/ How Much Can A Sub Compact Tractor lift? #311
A good portion of the time my b2650 is an overgrown lawnmower, and quite often working on it is like playing, so it is an overgrown lawntoy. However they get labeled one thing is certain any of them beat a push mower, wheelbarrow and shovel! Not to mention ever try to carry a drink while moving a filled barrow?

I just read the specs on my Mahindra 3016 loader.

It says lift capacity at full height at pivot pins = 1650 lbs....with a lift height of 99 inches.

I read that when I bought it but I missed the 'at full height' wording. I find that pretty amazing now that I have read thru this thread and learned about the physics of lifting.

Can anyone extrapolate, approx, what the ground lift capacity would be ? It's hard for me to figure based on the graph that was posted a few pages back.

I find the 3016 the perfect size in between the scut/ut machines.

Based upon data from other loaders, probably something like 2,500lbs at ground level.

mmm Wonder how my 40 hp Ford tractor feels parked next to my more powerful and larger 4x4 Chinese tractor...

i am sure neither care - because they are machines that get used- unlike the new holland skid steer. Which I am considering selling- sorry skid steer:(

ps- Standing up for the the scuts
-pretty sure they have a heavier frame or married drive train that is stronger and more substantial than the average riding mower/ garden tractor.

When I think lawn tractor I think of something with a structure made of sheet metal with belt drive and that weighs a few hundred pounds at best.

When I think SCUT I think hydrostatic drive, thick steel frame, cast iron axle and transmission housings. SCUTs are built much, much more robustly.

They just happen to look similar from a distance (or even close up to non-tractor folk)

No need to extrapolate. It's posted right on the Mahindra web site! Which loader do you have...

2350 break out at the pin (ML115 & ML115SKC)
2650 break out at the pin (ML116)

Post deleted, as I guess I'm done kicking the dead horse. Apologies to Axle.

That's pretty much how look at it. Now I have the chinsier end of the spectrum, but my craftsman tractor held up to 8 years of abuse, plowing snow, hauling everything, in the woods, busting the little 42" deck mowing. Great little tractor. But it is not even in the same class as the smallest SCUT, although the HP is about the same. And now that's it's parked next to the H (which even dwarfs the Kioti), I can't imagine how it stood up to all that abuse. It is nice not to be maxed out and spinning in 4" of snow now though:D

Break out at the pin is different than lift capacity at the pin. Lift capacity uses only the lift cylinders. Break out force uses both the lift and curl cylinders. Obviously, you can't always use the curl function to lift a heavier object, so it gets listed as a separate spec...it's supposed to simulate digging a bucket of dirt out of a pile (or similar).

He's asking what the ground level lift capacity is at the pin, and they don't publish it that way....unfortunately.

That's what I understood as well and why I asked about pure lift capacity on the ground.
