How long of a driveway is too long?

The longer the driveway and taller the fence, the better the neighbors.

I simply can't resist this... I'd say if the driveway extends much past the house and other buildings, it's "too long". If it stops there, it's about the right length

A house in town was at the very end of a long road where that road T boned. I wondered who would ever want to live where someone nodding off or under the influence could crash straight into their house.

Then one day someone did just that. Now they have huge rock in their driveway.

And with a long drive means you are far from smog and polluted air so you will live and enjoy a longer life here.

*Also your wife may just be happy to have you 'out of her hair' while you plow (enjoy quality tractor time).

I hiked a 1 mile driveway to and from the school bus from the first through eight grades. The mud puddles were great.

It does look like that.

The pavement's edge is a sharp 4 inch drop off and once the front wheel eases over that curb, trying to climb out just sucks you in. R-1's would help.

Me too, sometimes longer depending on whose mom dropped me off. My mom used to pack huge sandwiches from homemade bread that I could not eat all of. So I stuffed my pockets with the remaining half sandwich every day (we were taught not to waste food). I fed the cats and dogs on my way home and was quite a pied piper. I had neighborhood cats and dogs hanging around waiting for me to come home every day.
