yeah, and it is a Ruger too. But as you say, I had to study on that photo a while to notice that.

Please forgive me for staring. A beautiful girl is just something I could admire all day. And with that smile I am sure her personality is just a nice.

I was just fun-in.
Here we call the CHL concealed handgun license. But, starting tomorrow they will just be HL. The Concealed part will drop because we are now allowing open carry.

It is actually CFP (Concealed Firearms Permit) on the issued permit. CCW (conceal carry weapon) permit is slang around here. I'm glad you were just "fun-in" because I was starting to think you were not a true Texan to be that far off on your guess. :)

A while back it passed the state Legislature that we don't need a CFP here in Utah but our partially liberal governor vetoed it. Utah is still right up there with most lenient gun laws.

I've known a few women that should be bar'd from owning anything sharp, has projectiles, or anything cast iron with a handle. Just plain moody... :)

Yeah, I reported it as a political post in a non-political thread.

Why?? Our friend from Canada was just answering the original posters suggestion to start your kid's gun training early. Is it your opinion if someone disagrees with your point of view it is "political" speech?

My dad and one of my uncles could hit a quarter thrown in the air with a 22 open site rifle. It would top out about 25' or so before they would hit it. I tried it a few time but I might as well have done it blindfolded.

Whilst at the Infantry School at Ft Benning in late 1967 we had a class named "Quick Kill". It began with us shooting BB guns with no sights at aluminum discs thrown in the air. By the time the lane instructor got to my buddy and I we were shooting pennies and dimes out of the air. He watched for a bit, then allowed as we didn't need his help, then moved on.

Here is the pocket knife I carry every day. Would it be legal?

I would think so. Seems like I remember seeing something about "ordinary pocket knives" being 4" or less in length closed.
But, any knife, no matter how small, could get you in trouble in some places. Courthouses, jails, all federal buildings and most state buildings. If they make you go through a metal detector in the lobby, that's probably a good indication that knives (and other weapons) are not allowed. ;D
