I was gonna ask you for a more accurate forecast than the blah-blah 6-10" Friday to Sat here in Ladysmith. I think I need to actually mount that snow plow onto old Trusty Rusty finally! Gosh I hope I can figure it out!

Regardless I LOVE this Fiskar Axe, I've NEVER split oak with a single stroke before with my old maul, and this is like a hot knife in butter...

Maybe I should have got a Fiskar Axe instead of that Ariens splitter and saved myself a pile of money?

Indeed. One of my favorite episodes of "Miami Vice" had Frey playing a pilot smuggling Crocket & Tubbs into and out of some Latin American **** hole in order to establish their underworld credibility. Really talented guy leaving us much too soon!

Well I've done it again. I managed to stay alive another year. This makes 55 trips around the sun for me. 10 more and I can start thinking about joining most of you guys in retirement.

Allergy test came back and I'm highly allergic to grasses. Doctor originally said no specialist but it came back high enough that I'm getting a specialist. Maybe I can get rid of the congestion I keep 366 days a year. Also sounds like I need a cabbed tractor to bale hay and bush hog in. What do ya'll think? I need help convincing wife.

Larro's onto something there. If the doc won't write the prescription for a tractor, have him write it for allergy shots. But make sure he does it in pencil so you can erase the "shot" part and put in "tractor" instead. That should keep both the insurance company and wife happy. :laughing:

Good Morning! 50F @ 8:30AM. 0.28 in of rain on the agenda for today, though the radar looks like it'll be much more than that. Windy with rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers for the afternoon. Thunder possible. High 56F. Winds SSE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 100%.

The truck's been cranking a little slow lately, so yesterday I cleaned up the battery terminals and re-coated them with LPS 3. Thought I'd try out my brand new two dollar Harbor Freight battery post and terminal wire brush. As soon as I twisted the brush inside the first terminal it snapped off the base. HF sells some decent tools, but this is NOT one of them.

the weather forecasts are now starting to get interesting and the media is starting the big hype for this weekend's snow storm.
My older brother lives close to the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA and his forecast is now for almost two feet of snow, starting Friday and going into Sunday night.

Kids, get out your sleds, winter is finally here.

My son lives just west in Front Royal, and it looks like that area is ground zero.

14° this morning, strong winds, upper 20's today. I think we get rain and wind with snow to begin and end it here. Just west and north are gonna get pounded, including our son in Front Royal.
