Horn looks good Roger. That button is bigger than I expected. You had enough clearance obviously for the factory HL switch to remain and clear the hoses underneath for the steering. Its a pretty tight area right there;)

Thanks. The button is really not that big, the washer behind it is. I had just enough room to mount it, not too much room between it and the headlight switch.

Yeah it is really tight there behind the dash. I installed a couple of switches for my two pairs of LED lights and struggled to get the leads attached. I have one more hole for either a horn or more lights. :D Nice job!

I finally added a Racor filter to the BX. The filter I got was surplus and over 10 years old. A tech guy at Racor said it was made for a one specific customer. It uses ORB fittings instead of NPT. It came with a water in fuel sensor that I am going to hook up later. It also has a different drain than the current Racor's.

Yes, the filter is sitting level, I put a level on it. The frame on a BX does not run level, it is lower in the front. When I pulled the tape of the filer from painting the filter base, the tape brought some of the paint off the filter.

Nice clean looking install. I did purchase the rancor filter also and was trying to work out a bracket design. Did you use 1 bolt to fasten the bracket? I don't have a loader either so lots of room.

With only 200 hrs on my Kubota and all the maintainance done on schedule my first filter on my bx2360 clogged/froze up on me the day we had our big 26 snowfall here in PA. in mid February. I have a B7200 which has a rear mount Woods 52 blower so that did its usual fine job on our 1100 drive. But I was eager to try out the snowblower on a deeper snow than in the past. Thanks for the post.

Thanks Joe. I used one bolt to hold the bracket on. I did not take a pic of the bracket but there I cut a piece of 1/8'' plate the length of the bracket and welded it onto the bracket to keep the bracket from turning. If you use loader loader mount bolt holes you will need a M14x1.50 bolt.

The first filter went on me at 176. The second one was still on there when I put the racor on, the tractor now has 359 on it. This filter was about 1/3 full of water. I eliminated the rear factory filter now that I have the racor on it.

You were lucky to have a second tractor to use when your BX froze up. I recommend to anyone that has not done a filter upgrade to keep a couple extra filters on hand. They are not that expensive and they are available at the auto parts store.

I was making an assumption that you stabilized the bracket with an additional plate welded on. Thanks for the details. I’ll make a pattern with some plywood and get going with this project.

And yes, the older tractor (B7200) is a keeper. I bought it new about 30 years ago and it just runs and runs. And with the ag tires I’d swear that tractor can climb trees. That has a Kasco 60” plow for grading and snow plowing, a woods rm 42 brush hog in addition to the woods 3 pt. snow blower.

Here is a pic of the bracket. You can see the plate on the back.

I think those old B series are what helped Kubota earn the great reputation they have today. I bet that B7200 does really go with ags on it. I just got chains for all 4 tires on the BX so hopefully it will climb a tree.

I see you put your hours and date on the filters as well. Its sure does take the guess work out. I keep a log book and try and document as much as I can but the data on the filter removes any doubts someone might have.
