Piranha tooth bar for GC1720 with DL95 loader

Who has a Piranha tooth bar for their GC with the DL95 Loader? I contacted Expanded and was told to measure the inside bucket dimension about 3" back. I got 47&7/8. I was wondering who else has one, what their measurement was, what they got, and how well it fit? I assume there is a little wiggle room on the short side, but you definitely don't want to be long. I was thinking of ordering one for 47&3/4.

I was looking at their website not to long ago, and they had a tooth bar for the GC Massey Series tractors. I just looked at their website after your post, and it's gone?? If I remember right, this would have been a 49.5 inch wide bar. Maybe they didn't have the right dimensions and took it off their website? Weird.

I plan on buying one this Spring. Why don't you buy one first and tell me how it works?:thumbsup:

I don't have a GC but do have a Piranah bar on my 1529. When I bought mine I was also worried about the accuracy of the measurement. When it arrived there was plenty of clearance for the bar to fit. I think if you are within an 1/8 to 3/16 you won't have any problems. My guess is they subtract a 1/4" from what you tell them.

I have a Piranha toothbar coming on 3/7 I ordered the 47 3/4" variety. The tabs are mild steel so they will conform a bit to the bucket. I can post up fit and finish next week sometime when I get it installed.

I also have a custom ripper tooth made by Brotek coming in next week with trencher attachment. I tried to get the Bxpanded Talon ripper ordered when I ordered the tooth bar but they were not willing to make a custom tooth for the CB65 they would need one at the shop to make one. However, Brotek sent me a diagram what to measure and they had one built for me in one day. It's on the way so I will post up how that fits and works as well.

My GC 1710 was 47 3/4. Just made a wear edge for the bucket so it's fresh in the mind.

I had a Piranha tooth bar made for my Yanmar 186d a few years back.......I cut a one inch board the width of my bucket and took 1/4 inch off to be sure of the fit. They custom made mine......it fit perfect. I never take the tooth bar off. Great product by the way.

I installed one on my Kioti NX4510 last November. Plenty of clearance and the bolts snug it down nicely. It's very well made.

Arrived yesterday, but have been so busy I haven't even had the change to test fit it. I will let you know tomorrow though!

I did not, but just tried some smaller shrubs and wild roses / briars and it had no issues pulling them up by the roots.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in my own pics. I did get it mounted up, with a similar fit as shown above. Looks like they cute he tooth bar a bit short and bend/angle the mounts to meet the bucket width. This obviously allows some variation or small errors on the measuring side.

Let us know how they dig dirt. I have about 20 yards of topsoil to move when it dries out, and this bar is also on my list.

I have a 72" Piranha on my DL135 loader. Running it just above dirt does quite a number on acres of 10' tall Himalayan blackberries. A lot of the roots come out, but by no means is it all taken care of with just the tooth bar, as can be seen in the photos.

PTB is the best thing I added to my BX. Makes the bucket a real digger... way above its weight class! I could not have done the jobs I did without one. Just give them your inside dimension net. Don't subtract anything. Otherwise you will have a gap and may need a washer or two and an unnecessary sloppy gap. These are high quality and will take all the abuse you can give them and still look good.

I bought mine last spring, and they must have customized for the new bucket, cause I had to go buy longer bolts as the one that was "supposed" to fit is a little short and the bolts were nowhere near long enough.
