I'm frustrated with how slow this is moving along... too many other things needing done... gonna take time.

This is what is referred to as the DIY intake/6637 filter on the diesel forum (powerstroke.org if you want to know where else I hang out) I stole the idea from. It's as simple as removing the stock air box, slipping a piece of 4" exhaust pipe in the tube, and sticking the new filter on the pipe. Takes about 15 minutes if you take your time and drink a beer. Early '99 style http://s699.photobucket.com/user/wv... Uploads/20140313_101637_zpsnn9c8mey.jpg.html Late '99-'03 style... note that the filter sits more square with the battery and fender. Also, the 4" pipe only needs to be 3" long, not 6". http://s699.photobucket.com/user/wv...oads/2015-01-16 11.49.37_zps66qlidak.jpg.html Filter number is -6637 depending on brand. Ultimately they are made by Baldwin, so just find the cheapest version, $25 (online, multiple filter purchase) to $45 (single, local parts store)
is a 17 year old truck worth that kind of investment? Was it already a diesel ?
