Rest in Peace
The DAK version of the P226 is junk. Not sure on the P229. These guns could not handle putting s lot of rounds through them. The regular P226 is a wonderful gun.
Never heard that before; what's supposed to be wrong with the P226 DAK that makes you say it's junk? A local gun dealer told me the DAK models are the more popular model back east but the DA/SA is more popular in this area. I don't know whether that's true or not, nor do I know why it is, if it is. My P229 has never failed, jammed, or caused any problem of any kind. But I do clean and oil my guns any time one is fired for any reason. And I guess 100 rounds is the most I run through it in one day.
